It makes perfect sense for busch to shut down after all these multi million investments!

But in all seriousness I think he is saying something is leaving but since he doesnt know to just ride everything as much as possible.

Im betting in griffon!

Why would Griffon be leaving already?

Bush Entertainment is looking into the option of selling its theme parks to clear out any unwanted debt as the company is trying to become more profitable. Bush is basically doing what Paramount did. They want to get out of the theme park industry for good. Heres the catch, both parks will be sold as is to any investor including land developers so there is no promise on what leaves or what stays or if the whole park goes away for good!

I know this thread is going waaay off topic, but I have seen a few people say this in the past, and it is just absolutely wrong. I cannot even begin to imagine the astronomical costs that would be associated with dismantling an entire theme park with rides the size of the ones at Busch Gardens and the terrain there. I also can't think of any other use for that land given the terrain and the location that could come remotely close to making up for the millions of millions of dollars that would need to be spent tearing everything apart, and that after spending hundreds of millions to buy the park. It is inconceivable in every single way, and even if say some billionaire just decided he wanted to be a jerk and destroy the park for his own pleasure, the city of Williamsburg would have their say, and there is no way they would let it go without a fight.

I guess what I'm saying is that any talk of Busch Gardens being sold to anyone who intends to do anything other than operate the park is silly.

Thank you for shutting down that insane idea.

Back to the topic at hand... when have footers historically started appearing for coasters in the 200-300' range? I guess what I'm getting at is rather or not there is still enough time to build something as huge as diamondback (or bigger :o) at Carowinds for next summer if we haven't seen any footers at this point.

A resounding yes, as bruh and others have said in previous posts, Carowinds is no Kings Island. The coaster would mostly be over 'flat' parking lot and they can work through the winter with very few interruptions. In Ohio and Canada, you need to have the concrete work done before the temp drops to a certain level. I will feel better about this potential hyper once the parking lot starts coming up, until then, I'm not quite on board.

Keep in mind though, that even though Carowinds has warmer weather and can work through the winter (for the most part), Carowinds also opens about a full month earlier than CW and KI. I don't know how much effect that might have though, as the park could always have a delayed opening for that attraction.
