Careful what you post. The regulars might not believe you.
When people other than the regulars are correct on this one, you will all be happy with the end results and will be wanting to meet us.

I'm a semi-regular, don't post much except for what I know, see, or hear!

Hey, I wasn't attacking you, I was just being skeptical after the footer post! If anything I should be thanking you now for starting this chain reaction of hints! No hard feelings. And I think things are really starting to get interesting at the park, I can't wait to see what happens next! With so many sources hinting at something on this board, I find it hard to believe this isn't the real thing. :!: :!: :!: :!: :!:

yeah i know im so excited and yeah i guess you have reason to be skeptical because that MaximAgency guy (or whatever his name was) was pretty bad (i wasnt a member then but i watched the whole thing)

As much as I would love to believe that Carowinds is getting the next "World's tallest coaster", sounds more like a overpopped kernel of popcorn. I highly doubt the new coaster will top 230 feet if even 200 feet. However, odder things have happened in the past.

At the center of all rumors is a kernel of truth.

World's tallest coaster? When did we bring that up? All I've heard is top ten longest, but I guess with the length, it would have to be taller to get through the course of the track. A coaster like that would start us on the path to almost being as good as cedar point. Maybe. Hopefully.

Yes, the chances of Carowinds getting the new worlds tallest coaster are pretty much nonexistent but as someone stated on here a few weeks ago, the new coaster is rumored to be VERY LARGE and with the economy the way it is and the price of steel at record lows, the builder/manufacturer/designer is going to want to make up for that loss of profit and use ... MORE STEEL.. therefore you have ... BIGGER COASTER... (my guess... 265-290 ft tall and extremely long (like i said earlier))

Woah man. 265-290 feet? That would be amazing, but there is no way that will happen. We are in a recession, and I don't think hypers get that tall. Diamondback is 230! I wish we could get something more than that, but we are not cedar point. We don't get the big big big stuff. I'm guessing 210 to250 range. If you're right, better for all of us!

hypers are 200-299ft... look at goliath at SFMM.. its what... 255-265? (even though thats not B&M) and then you have fujiyama at fuji-Q-highland which is 280 but thats a togo hyper  unless you're talking exclusively about B&M's then its 230 max... but our coaster isnt confirmed as a B&M ...yet...

Yes, and neither company has built a coaster in the US since 2001 and 1997. The last Intamin Mega coaster built was 2003, not that means anything about the price of eggs in china. B&M is the best bet for a hyper coaster at a Cedar Fair park.

Goliath:235 feet. Biggest drop: 255 feet.
Fujiyama:259 feet. Biggest drop: 230 feet. Sadly, keep dreaming! And more...
Bizarro:208 feet. Max drop:221 feet.
Nitro:230 feet Biggest drop: 215 feet
Behemoth: Same as Nitro on both counts.
Raging Bull:202 feet Max drop: 208 feet
Silver Star: 240 feet Biggest drop: 220 feet
Sorry, in this case I hate to say I told you so! Really. And I didn't know B&M is 230 max. Let me look it up.
UPDATE: Silver Star is by B&M and it's 240. There is hope we beat that!!!

My guess is around 260, and whoever said B&M WON'T go over a certain height is being silly. A ride manufacturer will do what they're asked (or work with someone else who can). It all depends on how much they're charging and how much the customer (in this case, cedar fair) is willing to pay. Have we not figured that out yet after years of discussion?
