Well looks like alecscrews done went and stole my thunder. Except I have more pics than just Skytower ones...
The train is back.
Albeit much shorter.
An interesting juxtaposition, the well landscaped Dora with the large mountain of dirt in the back.
Guys working on the fence.
There is a hole in the Dora fence.. I am curious what it is for.
Side by side, two weeks ago and yesterday:
This panorama is actually not in my flickr so don't go looking for it.
This valley still hasn't been filled in.
Matchsticks are gone.
The hill is a lot smaller than two weeks ago when I went.
Here is the backside of the hill.. two weeks ago and yesterday.
Obligatory Skytower pic.
Top of the hill.
Trailers in the middle of Hurler, surely nothing to do with the Log Flume area right?
Now for some slightly more interesting photos. I walked along the entire perimeter of the fence, taking pictures along the way. I would not suggest you do that as THE FUZZ was slowly following me the entire time. At this rate I'm going to get banned before I can even find out what is coming next year.
The gate has definitely been getting a lot of use.
A bunch of surveying markers here.
If you look on the curb you will see lettering.
This lettering goes all the way down to the South Gate at regular intervals.
For those that haven't put 2 and 2 together yet, these are markers for footers. Some say "L" at the end which is for a left support, and some say "R" for a right support.
So with this I think we can safely say:
1. It will not be Intamin, they typically use a more lattice support structure.
2. Therefore it will not be any kind of Kingda Ka or Top Thrill Dragster thing. This actually has a layout.
3. It will probably not be floorless, I have never seen an out and back floorless of this length.
4. The entire parking lot is going to be used.
One final pic.
