General Carowinds discussion

If you refuse to leave the property when the real cops do get there they will arrest you for trespassing. I don't know about you, but spending the day in jail, paying $200 to get bailed out, to then have to pay a large fine is probably not worth ignoring the 'mall cops'.

That too. The fact is, if they don't want you in a certain area, or taking pictures of something, they have the right to ask you to leave. If they are just keeping an eye on you like they were Jay, then you're fine, but if you ever get asked to leave then be on your way and write or call the park later to clarify their policies.

I was at the park yesterday and I noticed a few things:
1st I finally got to ride cobra and I absolustly loved the harnesses, no headbganging, brings a whole new ride to boomerangs.
2nd Carowinds seemed to be having some sort of yard sale by cobra, i think they were selling off outdated items but im not sure.
3rd I noticed cranes and cherry pickers next to the lift for cyclone, seems like a good sign and i ve got pictures
4th they seem to be flatening out the dirt now.
5th those canasters out front are only filled with boxs, and one of the boxes had a stuffed animal prize hanging out so thats not our ride.

Ive got pics of this stuff at this link....

Because it really is going to be the longest caoster in the world and it will circle the park 4 times.

They can ban you for one season or they can make it where you can never return period. I can tell ya this, being banned from Carowinds is not something you want.

Maintenance area is next to Cyclone, Carowinds owns the cherrypickers, cranes I don't know about.

I keep reading how you're banned from Carowinds, but I have no idea why. Any chance you want to fill me in? :?:

How can they ban someone from a park other than putting a block on the pass? It is not like at the bar where the bartender sees you coming and ask you to leave because you drank too much the week before and turned out the place.

Well, putting a block on a pass puts you out $70-$150 depending on which one you purchased, so I would say that alone is incentive enough not to get in trouble. They could put your picture up I guess. I guess in reality, yes, it wouldn't be too difficult to slip in unnoticed if you were banned from the park. But it would be a dumb risk to take, because my guess would be that if they ever did notice a banned person in the park, they would be going to court for trespassing.

Now, back on topic...

that crane could have been used to lift a new motor or something big up to the platform to fix whatever was wrong. Not sure how long you rent those for, they may have rented for a month in case the problem happened again and they needed it. Better to be safe than sorry I guess.
Jammin, I noticed the markings in the parking lot yesterday as well. I was going to post about it, but you beat me to it and had pics(didn't take the camera yesterday as we were going to the water park and didn't want to get it stolen). Interesting.
