This is great. I wasn't on the boards during the Borg construction, so last year's Cobra Construction was the first time a got to watch stuff unfold like this. I don't really count that, though because we knew what we were getting. With this construction, we have no idea. It's pretty exciting to sit back and watch it all unfold.

look at the pics JamminJ posted on page 37.... they have random numbers and letters and they are spray-painted in white....

I've been trying to find the photos of the markings on the ground that were put down for Goliath back when construction started on it. But, no such luck...

My guess the numbers in the parking lot are the support number and then l or r is left or right prb makes it a whole lot easyer

I've been trying to find the photos of the markings on the ground that were put down for Goliath back when construction started on it. But, no such luck...

Well, i have an exciting find.... There's an old thread on another coaster website concerning footer markings at SFOG in 2005.... the topic starter said he was going to post the pictures somewhere in the thread but i cant find them.... the thing is though, he did describe them in the very first post and they match exactly the type of markings that JamminJ posted yesterday AND...they arrived at SFOG at the same time ours are right now (late may-early june). The link is below if you want to read through the old thread..... the common element in both instances is the "C" at the beginning of the marking....

So getting back on topic after that remark. I think all good things come to those who wait. The announcement will come in all good time folks. But it sure is entertaining to keep up what is going on.

Yeah, tried looking for those yesterday to see if I could match them up with Jay's pics, and it was dead-link city. I only could find one actual picture of markings, on a Photo TR over at TPR (ugh). This showed some lift hill markers in the USA section in front of the games. These began with an L, then a number and then either L or R.

I was hoping to find some from out at the entrance and entrance road, but no luck. I found more Behemoth and Diamondback construction pics, but both of these rides were a bit out of the way so I never found any pics of markers for those.
