General Carowinds discussion

I still haven't ruled out B&M for KD just yet. I think once we see some actual track pieces then we can definitively say it's one or the other. Until then, all people are basing this on is one 10ft. support that looks abnormal. The other supports in the photos (the cylindrical ones) seem to fit B&M, Intamin, Vekoma, and who knows who else.

That has to be one of the best posts I have read in a good while on here Wormy.

Big shot out to the peeps taking the pics to keep the whole boards in the loop. I know I for one really appreciate it.

I have no idea what KD is getting next year outside of the fact it has yellow supports. Having said that, I'd find it hard to believe they're getting something launched when they have 3 launch coasters, and just got rid of a 4th, but that's just me. I'd like to see something like Farenheit. Or Maverick, if it launches.

Hi, First wanted to say hi to everyone. Have been a long time fan of this site. I decided to sign up and start posting my own comments , feeling and really joining the crew , so to speak. but to get to the point. I was really stunned to see that cedar fair is gonna build a new coaster for both KD and Carowinds in the same year. Didn't think that was gonna happen. as far as what carowinds is getting. pretty sure its gonna be a hyper coaster. which I can't wait for. I was very pleased with how good cobra turned out to be, but will be much more pleased with a hyper. something I have wanted carowinds to get for a very long time.

I just hope they don't make clones like Paramount did in 1994 with the Hurlers. That would be a huge mistake.

virtually impossible, no? different manufacturers and track designs have different feels and rides..... wouldn't be a clone, per se, would it?

By the way, has anyone seen (or have) RECENT pictures of the Ohio B&M plant ... just to make sure the red track is still there?
