They do that every now and then.

Strange how ours isn't on there.

Uh oh, wrong thread.

Ah, a nice & quiet message string that isn't rampant with speculation & civil discord.

Here's the clincher, coasterbruh is spot-on. Without the exact specifics one cannot make any reasonable comparisons. However if we factor in what has been roped off it's fairly certain from the shape of the boundaries that the KD footprint suggests a twister whilst Carowinds is getting an out-&-back. Then the argument becomes irrelevant since it'll be like comparing apples to oranges.

Speaking of which that "bigger isn't always better" statement is sticking in my craw. I'm sorta having misgivings on the capacity of this ride. Someone allegedly took the time & effort to head on over to the Hanover County planning office for a gander at the civil plans available for public viewing. They didn't take a snapshot of the blueprints but drew a crude line on an overhead map giving a general idea on what to expect (click here). From the looks of it I'd say that the number of cars on each train is gonna be 3 to 4 less then what is traversing Millennium Force to tackle those tight curves. Probably not very lengthy either...a few hundred feet short of a mile most likely since no MCBR was mentioned. Oh well, beggars can't be choosers.

Oh...looks like some trestle track has arrived clearly indicting that the potential energy build-up is gonna be done by means of a cable lift system. One mystery solved.

True...but will it be less or greater than Millennium Force in height? Inquiring minds want to know.

well considering MF is right at the limit of being considered a giga, then i would say same or greater height is all it could really be.

They've still some wriggle room to maneuver since Millennium Force isn't exactly 30 stories tall. Give or take a couple of yards isn't gonna really matter much since there's really no more records to break. :? Shoot...this is like watching paint dry.

Ok, I've seen the washers that said 'Giga Coaster' on them. Am I the only one that's not completely certain this is going to be what KD thinks it is? I have a friend in the industry and he told me this wouldn't be the first time equipment showed up at a site labeled 'Giga' and it turned out to be a only a hyper. Has anyone one seen this in the past? Not trying to be doubtful or competitive, just saving a few people from disappointment if this were to actually occur.

I would say it's possible, but unlikely. When you add everything up it screams Intamin giga just as much as Carowinds does B&M hyper.

The lift crown was delivered the other day but now another debate has come up that's rather annoying.I don't get why some people think that the ride will have a vertical lift when it clearly will not.

In another photo update a footer marker was spotted under anaconda's brakerun....makes one wonder wether or not this is anacondo's final season?which may explain why it wasn't repainted during the off-season.

Anaconda can be a pretty brutal ride, but it would be a shame to see it go since it is pretty unique with the tunnel through the lake. Unless the new coaster used the tunnel....

Intriguing. I'm curious as to the reasoning behind starting mid-course instead of the station as usual.

It boggles the mind on the length some people would go to to prove/disprove such egregious statements. Although the turns, dips & rises would be sharper & tighter the hourly capacity would be terrible.

If this was true wouldn't we've seen preparations for demolition by now? Besides it'd be like suggesting that the Big Bad Wolf at BGW was on the chopping block...wait a second, scratch that thought. And aren't we done harping on the subject of "tunnels?" :?
