I have to agree with Chunkyskunk on this. While it is probably more likely to see the shops, queue, etc, in that area right of the station, I would love to see a "spaghetti bowl" of sorts. I still haven't gotten a clear definition on what those black tarp-ed holes are in that area. Are they footers? Won't something with supports go there?

I will say that looking at the footers close together near that 'white bread bag' building it does appear that it would be the station therefore the way you have this marks makes sense. I hope you are wrong though because it bugs me that we have all of the cleared area on the north side of this assumed station/lift hill area. One thing Carowinds is good at is placing the coasters over the pathways, exits and entrances. This best seen with Cyclone, Afterburn, Cobra and Nighthawk. Assuming that we are not going to get a splash down, or better yet, a bridge flyunder, it would be awesome to get a Bizarro (SFNE) style of 'spaghetti' finish in the clearing area before it heads into the station as opposed to simple bunny hops straight into the station. Therefore the entrance and exits paths would really a part of the ride as opposed to the ride being all in the parking lot. This will be a huge and popular ride. It will have at least two and maybe three trains but despite this, the lines will be long. It just makes sense to have the entrance path wind it's way through the coaster instead of you being in the park and not being able to see anything but the tops of the largest hills. Again, as much as the diagram makes sense, I do hope it is wrong. Not my favorite choice.
Can I ask... what else of a layout that they can do with some work already done? We have no clues or flags other than where log flume used to be and toward south entrance? Personally I would love to see it running across state border, but it ain't happening... unless there are any flags in North Carolina...
Plus that clearing could be for "common area" Such as queue buildings, stores, etc. However it is still possible for a flyover, tunnels (I doubt it, since they would dig for it by now), splashdown, etc in that clearing, it is still too early to tell, but I'm sticking with "common area" for now.Like I said, the layout does make sense and may very well turn out to be correct as that common area you are referring might also include a new gift shop and/or restaurant or something to that sort. Carowinds is lacking a really intense flat ride and that would be a cool area for that as well but that is a tangent and I will stay away from that. You are more than likely correct, I am just hoping for some coaster in that area somehow. Like you said we will know more when we see more footers being poured and some vertical work.
