^^All of my pictures are taken with my camera phone. That is the only resolution I have. Only the very base of the lift hill has been poured. They are working between the lift hill and the station/train shed right now.

Thanks. With that blown up picture, it's clear the lift hill footers haven't been poured. Just those funny squares at that small a resolution had me suspecting as such.

It's the worst kept secret that Carowinds is getting a B&M hyper.

You MIGHT know what it is & from whom but unlike what happened with Diamondback the little details remain underwraps. So the cat hasn't been let outta the bag just yet & that's what counts the most. Besides don't count out the new 4-abreast mega trains from Vekoma because their site does mention projects coming in 2010 that will be using the new seating configuration.

It's not Vekoma, we've already established they are B&M footers, and B&M isn't going to use another companies trains.

-Oh and it is truly amazing how many people on the internet think Cedar Fair pulled a fast one and Carowinds is the one getting the Intamin Giga. Yeah, i'm sure they would spend the money just to throw off a few coaster enthusiasts.

I wonder if where they are piling dirt up by that new black barrier is where some kind of banking for the coaster will be and then back into the station, maybe a helix seems like it could fit, come down into the curve and then back into the station

I don't know if its already been figured out, but I know the wooden creates in the parking lot are filled with bolts for the footers.

I've been tracking both the Carowinds construction and the KD construction, and I enjoy this board a lot more. A lot less argueing and senseless name calling and not 10 pages of posting a day. Glad to see more footers being poured for this coaster. Can't wait to see some track showing up and the official announcement showing the stats of this ride. I hope its as good as Diamondback is at KI. From the look of the cleared land it will be.

I (sadly) may know what this is, but my mind isn't functioning correctly right now...so...sleepy...
Anyway, what is the black tubing at the top right of the dirt area? is that for a future lake?
When I hear the answer I'll probably be like "ohh...yeah. I knew that."

It's beautiful. Now where are those update pics?

I'll post a few in a bit, but it looks like Derek has me covered. By the way, me and Derek met up at the park and marathoned Top Burn (yeah, I said it) and then got a ride on Thunder Road. My 20 oz Desani Water didn't like that and decided to come back up. Quite an embarrassing moment considering I call myself a Coaster Enthusiast. I thought it was just a little motion sickness, but I went to Sonny's and had All You Can Eat Pork and then returned to the park. I then road Top Burn 11 more times straight without getting off and then hit up Thunder Road twice and I didn't have any issues.

Quite the embarrassing moment, nonetheless. I appreciate Derek keeping the secret, but "ef it"... the cat's out of the bag now. I'm sure this is more info than you all wanted to hear.

I'll post my pics a little later (update pics... not pics of the mishap ) and I plan to do a trip report here shortly.
