General Carowinds discussion

If you look at the skytower photo on the previous page on this blog, look to the far left center of the photo and you will see an excavator and some fresh dirt. It was located there. I pulled up Google Earth and it is about 100 feet NW of the NW corner of the northern most 'white loaf bread' building. Right on the edge of the dirt and service road pavement.

Oh, ok. I know where you're talking about now. Definitely sounds like a turn around into the station. :)

I'm sorry. I was relaxing and resting after spending 10 hours at the park in 90 degree weather. My bad. I don't have any captions for these, but here you go.

*MOD EDIT: While I definitely appreciate the quantity of pictures, my computer doesn't. :? So I took roughly half the pics off the page for hopefully faster loading times for those with *ahem* slower computers. All 40 pics will still be put towards 'the count'.

Kudos on the pictures, FSUNolez06.

Has the under-the-bridge idea been totally ruled out? Why did they take the foliage out of that area? Also, it kind of looks like footers have been dug about 20-30 feet away from the bridge (or is that just dirt piled there?). You can see that in FSUNolez06's update pics.

I'm dreaming. Somebody slap me. :D Thanks for the pics Wormy. Much appreciated. :) Hmmmm...I see the trees between the white roofed pavilion and the white tents next to the service road have been cut down. Wonder if the coaster will make its return to the station through there?

Thanks FSUN for the photos. I looked real closely at the bridge area just to see if anything new was there. As far as I am concerned, I have ruled it out. Based on the footers that are poured and where the construction is, I would say the idea is gone. I would so love to be wrong though.

Hey you guys, nice pics. Don't worry Wormy, your title is safe. LOL I will look forward to the updates next week as I'll be at the beach with the family. May have to take advantage of the Freestyle 2 for $18 deal, and planning on hitting up Family Adventures to knock out Swampy. I'll get some pics fo sho. I ain't doing Pedro's house though!
Hypersonic at Carowinds, that has to be the most laughable thing I have ever heard.
