Also, this may not be relevant but Morgantown, WV is 388 miles from Carowinds, according to google driving directions.

What is the distance as the crow flies?

The distance:

Origin: Charlotte, North Carolina, United States
Destination: Morgantown, West Virginia, United States
Distance in miles: 308
Distance in kilometers: 495

Please note: The distance is calculated "as the crow flies". It uses the latitude and longitude of the cities to calculate the distance, so this may vary from the driving distances.

It is what has been revealed by inside sources and what has been leaked. There is nothing that can be read by the public that says that. It is (for all intensive purposes) a contract that has been signed. People in the industry know about that and eventually it gets from those sources to lower people like us. Just take it as being true because most things like that are (well, as long as they're not outrageous, and this isn't...)...

How did I know you where going to answer this.

Well yes I have heard of this so called contract when I was not working in the Industry. I was just asking him for some hard evidence that would prove to me (and maybe others) that it was a fact and not some circumstantial evidence. Now I am in no way saying that these contracts exists or do not exists. I was just asking a simple question that required a simple answer. And it seems to me that nothing can be proved fact just hearsay.

And want to give a big thanks to the folks that have provided some mighty nice pics so I do not have to go down and see what is going on. Keep up the good work folks.

Now it seems that the PR Director (Please correct me if that is wrong Dani) is doing a GREAT job in getting the word out for the great coming addition to the park in 2010. It was a great idea in placement of the crate so that people saw it when they come into the park. Seems someone is earning here money and to my knowledge KD has not started something like this yet?

Look forward to seeing this ride evolve over time as rides from other parks.

coasterdave wrote:And that question is so you say there is a 'so called three coaster deal' between Cedar Fair and B&M. Where do you infact have proof of this? I have not saw anything that shows that there is a deal in place for what you speak of.

You just have to go and ruin all my fun, don't you Dave?!! I will concede that this is not so much as fact as a generally accepted statement that has been floated around for quite a long time. I'll give you one more - FACT: 57% of all facts are made up.

chknwing wrote:that and his ability to know a type coaster simply by looking at concrete in the ground

I never claimed to know the type of coaster based on the footers. What I did say is that it is VERY similar, even exact in some respects, to other B&M hyper coaster construction. And it's not just the concrete, there is some rebar in their too.

Edwardo wrote:So, if another CF park gets a B&M in the next year or so, does that mean it's a 4 coaster deal, or the first of a new 3 coaster deal?

LOL...I am guessing that was a joke.

charlotteguy02 wrote:FACT: Cedar Fair has bought 3 hypers from B&M, two of which have been built.
FACT: The only CF parks that don't have a hyper are Carowinds, KD, Michigan's Adventure, Knott's, and Great America. The only one of which that has a plot of land currently under construction to support a B&M hyper is Carowinds.
FACT: The layout of the designated area for this ride is most certainly out and back, and in the same size range for other hypers (I and a few others have measured it on GoogleEarth).
FACT: The footer design for the beginning of the lift hill is for all intents and purposes identical to both Diamondback and Behemoth.
FACT: The footer markings are identical to several other B&Ms both in Carowinds and outside.
FACT: The red B&M track at the Ohio plant is hyper track.

Those are facts. One of those facts by itself may not mean a whole heck of a lot, but when you put them together the puzzle pieces fit. If this is anything other than a standard B&M hyper I'll eat my words.

I will have to say I agree with this 100%. Way too obvious to me that we are getting a B&M hyper.

So doing some work on google, apparently there is a Bulldog shipping that is based in Big Rapids, Michigan. Thinking big?

Dale Jarrett drove the #44 car sponsored by UPS.

Still working on what EBCLAKF stands for. The first commisioner of NASCAR was named Erwin "Cannonball" Baker, so that might have something to do with the EBC.

Also found this song about White Lightning: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ggkrk5InCR0

White Lightning

Well in North Carolina way back in the hills
There lived my old pappy and he had him a still
He brewed white lightnin' till the sun went down
Then he filled him a jug and he passed it around
D7

Mighty mighty pleasing my pappy's G

corn squeezings ooh white Lightnin'
Chorus

Well the "G" men "T" men revenuers too

Looking for the place where he made his brew D7 C
They were looking tryin to book him but my

pappy kept on cooking ooh white Lighnin'

Well I asked my pappy what he called his brew
He said white lightnin stead of mountain dew
I took one sip and right away I knew
Cause my eyes bugged out and my face turned blue
D7

Lightnin' started flashin thunder started G

crashing ooh white lightnin'

repeat chorus

Well a city slicker came and he said "I'm tough"
I think I wanna taste that powerful stuff
He took one sip and drank it right down
And I heard him a moaning as he hit the ground
D7

Mighty mighty pleasing your pappys

corn squeezings ooh white lightnin'

So, Maybe instead of theming it to one nascar driver, it'll be white lightening and be themed to Nascar in general? BTW, Dale Jarrett also has a red/blue jumpsuit.
