General Carowinds discussion

I need you all opinion on this.......

So you all say that the name is going to be called White lightning, but isn't the at the B&M plant red. Can somebody possibly explain how this would all work(The name and the color).

I'm not familiar with racing/nascar so I wouoldn't know if the theme and the name are connected.

I know I'm over thinking this but I figured I'd ask you all since you all know stuff about whats going on.

The trains themselves could be white, I suppose. I agree, though, red track doesn't seem right. We don't know for sure that the track at that plant is our yet, either.

Jay, I think its time to close the page down for a couple a days. I think many people need to see some daylight agian.
( not trying be rude to everyone, just miss the updates )

I am curious to see what kind of progress was made this past week, due to the bad weather this week.

A big thanks to everyone who contributes the updates.

I dont think the crap has been piling up...last time it was "when is an update" and "whats taking them sooo long". I think the discussions lately have been valid. I learned something about websites and alot of info is seemingly to come together. Whoever is behind it all is really causing quite a buzz...

www.jarvisOwns.carowinds.com coming soon!

Ummm...why? :? We're discussing the name of the ride which is on-topic.

Personally, I don't really need to know what is going on up-to-the-minute. I don't mind updates a week apart, especially if it's only groundwork. But to those who have contributed, thank you.

When things start getting good, the park will have a webcam armed and ready.

I'm not convinced this thing will be launched.. I'm not saying it's not possible, but I thought that Universal had HULK's launch custom designed in-house.

If White Lightning is in fact the name, and it turns out to not be launched, I think they are missing a good opportunity and not using the name on a future Premier or Intamin launched coaster.

Of course, from what I heard, Carowinds were supposed to get King's Dominions Flight of Fear for 2007.

Going back to the trains... If they use the same style as they used on Diamondback, it will hold 32 passengers... if they use the Nitro/Goliath style, you can bet on 36 passengers. (That is because the seating arrangement on Diamondback adds more length to the train.)

Something I noticed, that image is the only thing at that domain, there isn't even an index page, at max i think they have a .htacess file and an image which leads me to belive they planted this, this wasn't a whoops or a hoax. Another thing is that if it was under construction we should be able to access pages that would be in the "template" set of pages for all the cedar fair new ride parks list. Such as carolinacobra.carowinds/public/layout/index.cfm Probably this doesn't make sense to anyone but me but I tried to contribute from my knowledge base.

Actually, it does make sense to me. Of course, I took a web design class in college, and that's what the first half of the semester was, designing pages in Notepad by hand and then publishing them on the internet. So I can understand enough code to follow a simple page like that.

Don't shut down the thread yet, I'll be going on Sunday to check updates!!! :)

Are you kidding me? You guys are really trying to make answers out of nothing. That page is a default page from IIS 7, like I mentioned before, a Windows-based Server application.

I wouldn't read too much into it.

Keith, are you saying the website isn't real or are you saying that the page is just under construction from Cedar Fair still and there is nothing to look into yet? :? I know it's a generic construction page to Windows. I just want to know whether it's real or not. I think it's real myself because it says Cedar Fair LP on the website and the sub-domain can only be registered to Carowinds.

I read into it because it has been one of the only if the only cedar fair construction site ever, we never saw any of the others go up, that's why I am reading into it.
