Edit-I just looked at the pictures and have more faith in my source."

Don't say, 'Oh. Doesn't everyone have their own sources?' That particular member has been a member for years and wouldn't just make that up. Also, Dale Sr. was born in NC...

So, because this guy has been a member of an online forum for a while, his sources are entirely credible? Seems to me his "source" just knew what we've known for a long time- track color, racing theme, the number three etc.

Boy, I tell ya, I'll never get tired of people posting this kind of stuff. Can't we just stick to making educated guesses based on available facts?

Note. I did NOT say his sources are credible. I just said he wouldn't make that up. HIs source may have, and he just posted what he heard.

Yeah in merchandise.

For those that don't know, I lost my job in March and have yet to find anything. Thankfully I'm still getting severance pay.

Pretty sure this hasn't been discussed yet....

but I think it's safe to assume most of the station / brake track has shown up because there are a mix of tires and the magnetic brakes found on the newer Hypers.

From the amount of magnetic brakes seen on Carowinds property so far, and videos of other B&M hypers, can we determine how fast the train might be hitting the brake run on our ride?

Worth a thought at least...

Did you say angle of descent?!?!

I bet poor newton is rolling over in his grave right now. the angle of descent doesnt really have much to do with the distance in height an object falls...

Thank You. My question has nothing to do with angles it has to with speed hitting the brake run. Knowing the length of the site if we count the number of magnetic brakes and find a speed range, maybe we can figure out a height??? I know it's a reach but hey, what else do we have to discuss.

I'm new here but have been following both Carowinds and King's Dominion's new 2010 project closely. I noticed something today. Could be nothing, but thought I would share. On the teaser website that is under construction for the Carowinds coaster, in the top right hand corner is "IIS7". Now that could be some kind of web coding, I have no idea. BUT when I saw it, I immediately thought 257. Like "II" as the roman numeral for 2. S as a 5. And 7 as a 7. Could this be a hint at the height (257 ft)? Or is it just some coding for the website? Or could it just be completely random?

That is a pretty incredible reach, and it is even more amazing that it is coming from you. My god I think everyone here is starting to get a little too hyped up for this ride!

Haha Jonathan, forgive me. This is what happens when I get a few beers and me and decide to visit your site. The B&M mag brakes seem to be able to stop a train in its tracks even when there are only two.

Move along guys.

I'm just very excited for this project. Can't wait to ride it next year with everyone.

I haven't made any guesses as to anything on this ride. The only thing I have been saying is that I wouldn't rule out a launch. I'm not saying that I think it will happen, but I do think it is crazy to rule it out 100%.

I agree with you there, I just wonder if we're going to top Silverstar. The area doesn't look that large but who knows... it would be great.

Also Jon, why can I not follow your Twitter? I can follow other random people but yours times out. twitter.com/jasonwilson88 is mine, I'm assuming yours is twitter.com/carowindsfans.
