Not to broach on the subject, because I am very interested in the new launching/track size topic at hand, but I was just pondering on the West Virginia subject again. Could it be possible that CF just needed a state as a visual representation of a hyper/non-inverted coaster? I mean, put the W and V together (WV) and it looks a lot like a section of coaster hills. Not reading too deep into the meaning or anything...

The track on the flat beds doesn't look absolutely ginormous to you?

Yeah, it does. That's because roller coaster track, especially B&M, is ginormous.

As the person who was next to the truck taking the pictures, I can confirm that they were indeed absolutely ginormous. And a very lovely shade of red, I might add.

Nothing really, given that it is the end view of the track section. What you see are the plates that bolt together between sections. The plates should be larger at the apex or nadir of the hills given the greater moments encountered there, but that is to be expected given the forces. I don't think anything can be inferred from the size of the plates. These very well might be the track sections at the top of the first drop, but one would expect them to be "well-built" given how they are typically supported.

I'm confused. That track doesn't look that much bigger than the on-site track, does it?

The left hand track at the end of the trailer in the cell phone shot is larger, and it tapers to the smaller (understatement) box support towards the front of the trailer. This is due to what newton's engineer is saying in the post above yours. The track is larger at the joints where there is more stress load.

I counted the diamondback lift track and it has 27 places for bolts so all you gotta do is compare it to ours when we see it and you know if its bigger.

The Whytelightning site was registered about a week and a half ago through Godaddy for someone in Arizona...by proxy from somewhere unknown...not sure what that means (I know what proxy means but what relevance it has)
