coastercrazy wrote:Well, Now That I have seen what KD is getting. I am even more excited about our coaster. Think ours will have alot more air time hills While KD's is more of a speed machine. With OTSR, yuk. still looks like a nice coaster, but looks like the best thing about theres will be the first drop, and mabye some of the air time hills. Im not Too much for low to the ground speed turns. outside of the speed, the long speed turns are kinda of boaring

I don’t know I’m pretty jealous.

The day of redemption for Carowinds has arrived; after months of bragging, the King Dominion fans are now howling big time over Intimidator 305. Maybe this is why the company had their announcement first. IMO, if our coaster has the same specs as Diamondback, it will be a lot more interesting than their.

I think this coaster will have something state of the art to it. I also think it will be better than 305. 305 is just a bunch of speed. I love air time , so I hope this coaster will be different. One thing I love about CF , they know what parks to give big rides(other than Cedar Point(Not saying they don't need anymore :P)). I really hope Carowinds gets a better coaster.

if you go to the website and read the info 305 is not a bunch of numbers for speed it is the height of the coaster.
we will not get a bigger coaster as this statement from there website says it all in the last line.

The tallest and fastest gravity driven roller coaster on the East Coast screams along 5,100 feet of steel track at 92 MPH! At a whopping 305 feet tall, Intimidator will be the BIGGEST and BADDEST steel roller coaster in the Mid-Atlantic and on the East Coast!

I'm pretty sure Whitesoxsfan21 said "better," not "bigger." There's nothing in KD's promo line that say BEST steel roller coaster in the Mid-Atlantic...

Which makes me wonder what record we're breaking. 5,100' is awfully short, shorter than the original Intamin hyper at Darien Lake. Pretty sure our B&M is going to longer than a mile!

I think the only real records being broken both here and at KD will be largest capital investment over each park's history. Other than that its just regional bragging rights.

I am willing to lay down a few bucks that you are most definitely correct.

I certainly hope so.
