Not to stray from the topic too much here, but I want to get something straight before next week's announcement.

Reading the KD boards today, some of the comments are pretty disturbing. Basically anyone who is negative about their new coaster is being lashed out at and attacked. That's not the way it is going to be here. I expect that when the ride is announced there will be a wide variety of opinions, and we are not going to tolerate anyone being attacked for their opinion, whether it be positive or negative. Not that I am saying that anyone here would do that. I will re-iterate this next week closer to the announcement.

You have to give them one thing...whether this is a product of Cedar Fair or outsourced, the marketing for 305 is hellaciously good. Hopefully no matter what caliber of coaster that we get, I hope we at least see a great marketing campaign. 305's webpage and videos are badass.

Yea if the coaster was in Miami! I understand why they used it but to me it sounds to cheesy! I believe the only reason they used the 305 was to add dales logo into the theme somehow! I dont think it was just purely because of the height!

Not the name...I’ve never been a fan of Intimidator, so as you can imagine sticking 305 on the end certainly doesn’t make it any more appealing for me. I just mean that the trailers and teasers on the website (and the website for that matter) are all well done.

BTW: I think you are right on target as to why they threw the 305 on the end....

A 305 is a chevy engine. So Im willing to bet that the height of the ride was preplanned to match 305 for the racing fans. Although nascar uses 358's, cedar fair isnt that nice... Heres to hoping we get "White Ligntnin 427"!
