First time poster, been reading a while. Thanks to my friend Wormy for pointing me towards this site. Was at the park over the weekend and snapped some of these photos:

Did I break rules taking photos from rides?

I'm all for the NASCAR theme ride! I am a bit biased since I am a life long fan of #3. Not like other things in the park haven't been based on the NASCAR and/or moonshine heritage (Thunder Road, White Lightning, and I remember standing in line for hours to ride "Days of Thunder"), and Charlotte IS the uncontested center of NASCAR.

Just was thinking about these past few post about 26, well 26 is 13x2, and I know 13 has played a big role in this whole build up as well. And I do like the idea of announcing it on the 26th if 26 does indeed refer to something about the coaster. How about 26 stories high and 13 inversions.

13 inversions would be sick, but I doubt it'll have any inversions.

Yeah it didnt have anything to do with the announcement, but if they can play into the date or whatever for the announcement then why shouldnt they? Its all just an idea but im just saying

Ok to all the ...people... in this site who cant read earlier i said

Question i know this is off topic but did they dismantle the log flume or just rip it apart? If they dismantled it, do you think that they will put it back up somewhere else? and another thing i never said anything but before i had any idea of the roller coaster coming up i was starting to think they were just going to move the flying super saturater over to where the log flume used to be. i mean i like the roller coaster idea alot more but if no roller coaster that would be a good spot for the saturator.

To everyone who said things like are the red pieces of track for looks, if you READ i was talking in past tense. i was thinkng that was what was going to happen way before any hint of a roller coaster. I was talking about i think it would be a good spot of satruater if they never decided to put a roller coaster in duhhhh.

MOD EDIT: Definitely no need for name calling here. No one had any idea you were talking in past tense, perhaps take some extra time to more accurately convey what you are trying to say.

Jarvis bought the log flume and it is now running at his house. If you were more polite in your posts and quit calling people dumbasses, perhaps they would answer your questions more seriously.

razz wrote:So this is my first time posting to this site but ive been watching the development of this ride from several sites so ive put together some details to make a resonable guess for the coaster. Okay so some of the details are if anyone has seen the invites for the announcement they highlight the '26' in the date and also the idea of 'record breaking, history making' shows that it has some type of record with it. My guess is that the coaster is gona be 260 ft high making it the tallest, most likely as well fastest, B&M hyper and also the tallest and fastest coaster in the park. This is just a guess but its what i can make of all this. I wish they picked a better team than NASCAR though haha but as long as its a good ride that helps out Carowinds then it works for me.

If the 26 meant 260 ft high, why not highlight the 26 and the 0 in "09?" It must have some significance though.

I have never put much thought into the date being the 26th, a day when the park is closed as opposed to a Saturday which I think makes the most sense. It does make sense that they would be some reason for that date. As much as I would love and do hope this thing is 260 ft :D , I would have to agree with JamminJ, I would be shocked also. A part of me really believes our coaster will be much closer to 200' due mainly to Carowinds being the smallest Cedar Fair park plus the past history of the lack of taller coasters but those 2 steep track drop pieces do have me wondering if we might get something taller. We will find out soon :)
