They pick out a name while there designing the coaster they don't change all most a year before the coaster gonna be opened because of some deal. If the deal was not done when this coaster was in designing then its not gonna be named that. I mean come on think about this it takes 2-3 years to design, build, and open a coaster you pick the name when you pick the colors, but its more likely to be "White Lightning" because of all the hints, and then a nice intimidator theme.

You do realize a coasters name can change a matter or days before the announcement. I dont know if you dont wanna accept that it may not be named white anything. And an "intimidator" themed...really, its starting to look really sad reading some of these post. Did you see how fast the name changed for BORG...that didnt take 2-3 years to figure out. As well as there are some coasters that are announced with no name as part of a contest to name the coaster.

Besides, I hate to go back to this but the parks dear old top burn...it was to have a godzilla theme but last minute it was changed to top gun...that didnt take 2-3 years...

It would be less brutal if you talked like its an opinion but when you say "I mean come on think about this it takes 2-3 years to design, build, and open a coaster " you talk as if you know exactly what you are talking about but then look even more silly than you did before posting.

So guys and gals, its ok to be wrong in a post but dont try to make yourself seem right with no solid evidence...like this fella here!

First off the borgs name had to be changed quick because of the change from paramount to cedar fair and top gun could have had any theme or colors because they painted it at the park not at B&M like the coaster pieces we have now.

Two, if never seen cedar fair have a contest for a name six flags maybe but I'll wait 5 hours and I'll know what name, theme, and how much the parking deck is gonna cost. :D

But the point is it doesnt take 2-3 years to come up with a name! You dont have to pick the colors for a coaster at the design stage. Ever thought the fact top gun wasnt painted was because they didnt know what theme they wanted and the supports would basically support the color of the theme?

But since you will find out in 5 hours and the rest of us will find out in 5 hours and 1 day you obviously know what you are talking about more than I do...

Silly me having to wait for the announcement on wed and you dont...

ok ok you're 13, i'll cut you some slack...not much though!

No! No slack for him!

 I kid.

I can't see any evidence of White Lightning that is not out weighed by Intimidator. We've all seen the website, I know. That means about as much as 5 minutes of internet coding can. Besides, as somebody pointed out earlier today:

http://www.intimidator.carowinds.com

Then you have the log on site, the tire tracks on the teaser poster and a color scheme strangely similar to Intimidator 305. Also, was the quote, "They say lightning never strikes twice in the same place," ever really verifiable? The only thing the crate says is, "Lightning really does strike twice." Once at King's Dominion, at once at Carowinds. Meaning we're both getting Intimidator-themed coasters at the same time. The evidence is staring you right in the face. Open your eyes. Accept it.

Whether the “white lightning marketing package” was forged rubbish or not, it is hard to argue that the teaser trailer doesn’t suggest some sort of nostalgic undertones with the lightning reference. For me (and I am assuming most other people), whoever decided to put “lightning really does strike twice” on the teaser trailer was referencing the old adage “lightning doesn’t strike in the same place twice.” Key words there: “the” “same” “place.” I mean I understand “bending” your implication to get a point across just as much as the next guy, but it’s a little far fetched to imply “lightning really does strike (the same place) twice” and have your audience “buy” that KD and Carowinds are figuratively the same place.

BTW: I’m not arguing that the name is white lightning - I think the evidence weighs far more in favor of the alternative, what I am saying is that they really went below the belt with the lightning reference.

It will hold one piece of track, but it will have three 'legs' that connect to the ground.

So, for everyone that thinks it will be White Lightning:

The only website that has to do with that name that actually works is whitelightning.carowinds.com. If you try whitelightning.carowinds.com/public/ride, it doesn't work (that gives you info about the ride. It is the format for other rides like Diamondback and Intimidator 305). So, they don't have a website set up yet.

But, if you try intimidator.carowinds.com/public/ride, it takes you to the same log-in page that there is for intimidator.carowinds.com. If you try that for toher pages, it is the same thing, so...

Also, for those of you who recieved a press invite, why did you forget to mention the "2009 Dale Earnhardt, Inc." copyright? :x

There's a lot of s**t they don't teach anymore evidently. I'm all for bringing back the paddles in schools. Seemed to be less trouble back then.
