What an awesome week - spent the last 4 days up in DC taking a few thousand pics, and now today is the day for Carowinds' announcement. Oh and I'm still off work so can follow this one "live".
We
finally get to see what they're up to.
I'll be quite satisfied if we get something the size of SFOG's Goliath, which is a great ride. I'd be slightly disappointed if we get something smaller, a "Hyper-lite" like the 175-footer at La Ronde. Still, that would be the tallest coaster in the park by far and would probably still be a great ride.
I'm somewhat expecting a Diamondback / Behemoth sized ride, with some sort of twist like a new element. Something like that almost-Immelmann for the turnaround that some did on the RCT3 / No Limits thread would be very nice.
I'm of course hoping that the history making / record breaking is more than just a Carowinds / Carolina record and that we get the world's tallest B&M, but I'm not gonna be distraught if we "only" get a 240-footer like everyone else got.
Oh, and as to the name / theme - I really don't care that much. I'm certainly curious as to what it is, but the ride itself is the main thing.
