note to all: not attacking, just asking...I don't think it is possible to really put a damper on the enthusiasm here anyhow!

I'm gonna say the few Cons IMO are these things:

-The first drop has a really, REALLY long pullout. They could've made the lift 250'-260' and had a more abrupt pullout and still kept the rest of the layout the way it is.
-The upward left turn into the mid course, could've been a helix to the right, leading into the mid course. This would move the mid course back towards the parking lot a bit making more room for one more hill. Although this would've thrown their "7 hills for 7 records" out the window... I wonder if Carowinds wanted 7 hills or if that was the way it ended up and Carowinds ran with it.

Now, with those 2 things being said, this ride still looks bad ***, and I will still ride it! I was merely giving my thoughts on what I would've like to have seen them do with what they have. I'm really happy for Carowinds getting a landmark coaster such as this to finally get them a little bit of well deserved respect!

Them making the lift that much taller would affect the specs of the rest of the coaster as far as speed, height of hills and airtime goes.

I'm pleased beyond belief to see our park getting this coaster. We've been on three of these B & M hypers to date - they are amongst our family favorites. I had felt in my heart for a long time that CF would eventually bat us a home run in the form a very tall and imposing coaster. I'm thankful for getting the B & M, but will also look forward to I305 at KD, as I'm proud for that park getting an equally great new coaster. Sure hope there will be enough guests at both parks to pay for these monsters in the next couple of years! I would certainly think so! Thanks to CF and Carowinds for making this commitment to us coaster fans!

From lift crest to brake apex I believe the Intimidator is almost a half minute longer than Intimidator 305 in ride duration...that's quite a significant discrepancy when factoring in their lift height. Not bad being the 3rd B&M mega coaster in length after Nitro & Behemoth.

Remember the animation teasers for Diamondback? There was a footpath beneath the finale helix which wasn't added. So we shall see.

RacerAlex wrote:The only con I see is the "second half" beyond the mid-course brake is a little underwhelming relative to what came before it.

You'd think the MCBR would've been placed one hill back but...I must assume it's situated correctly in regards to train dispatches. Just looks odd from our perspective I guess.

Stop that...you're just gonna confuse dive-loop even further.

It appeared to be a fairly obvious feature from that fenced bulge into the parking lot that there was gonna be a helix there. I'm still surprised that there wasn't. Pity.

It's exciting to see Cedar Fair truly theme something!

That would be pretty awesome. Much better than grass. :) I'm thinking they will too. If they weren't, the pavement would have been torn up and removed before putting the footers in.

Let me remind everyone, that ole Tinkerdog here was the FIRST to state, way back, that this coaster would be called...

THE INTIMIDATOR 8) and would be themed to Dale Earnhardt 8) and hopefully would have themeing around the track with asphalt and some race cars  ..... 2 out of 3 ain't bad so far!!! And maybe 3 for 3 when all is said and done!

I'm psychic, what can I say????

Anybody need a fortune told????

OH.... I LOVE THIS RIDE!!!

Thank you CedarFair for this great addition to my HOME PARK! Finally, we are ON THE MAP.... for once!!! :D

Intimidator > i305
nuff said.

THIS THING LOOKS INCREDIBLE. One of the better looking B&M Hypers out there. My god, Cedar Fair came through for us. Everything that they've done with the park has been just great. Gotta love Intimidator, and I think it fits us better than Richmond. When people think NASCAR, they think Charlotte/Lowes Motor Speedway; who the hell thinks Richmond International Raceway?
