It's all paramounts fault that it's not a giga and it's not launching 500 feet in the air around the skytower and going under the bridge with fire shooting out of the back of the car. Paramount Parks were a bunch of losers.

Construction looks awesome so far. Hope to get a good look this weekend.

I'd be a complete idiot if I thought you were serious ... but sadly , we can;t get any rides taller than the sky tower because of air interference with planes from the air port... At least that is what one of my brothers friends told me . He used to work there.

I was provoked I tell ya! Don't ya mean asphalt under the bridge cause Carowinds is lacking in water (and hyper coasters) under the bridge.

I don't know that we can't get rides taller than Skytower, but there isn't many rides that could be taller than our skytower.

That's gotta be another crane. By looking at the webcam it looks like it's going up where the third hill is going to be. Diamondback gets one crane and we get at least three. Wow.

I wonder why they are using so many? Could it be that the local construction company had them available and are using them? I do recall the other coasters only used one. Maybe the construction company has another project lined up and want to knock this one out of the way so they can move on; otherwise they could be out there all winter with one crane. The Carolinas is a high construction area compared to others. Is this same company building anything else in the Charlote region; Hall of Fame, Duke Energy complex, highway.....? Is this a local based company? I'm thinking if you have the equipment and the man power, -you use it.

And I was wondering if someone was going to bring up the boat and how they where going to do it but it is all Paramount's Fault I would guess.

Can someone explain the rusting boat incident that a few have referenced here? I have been going to Carowinds for pretty much all of my life and I don't remember a boat incident...lol Maybe someone can elaborate on that. Thanks!

The Sternwheeler riverboat that used to circle around Smurf Island was removed for BORG Assimilator. That rubbed a lot of people on here the wrong way. Supposedly they were considering keeping the boat and making it a restaurant or something, but when it was being moved somehow they managed to tear a massive hole in the hull, and then they scrapped it.

Now, if anyone wants to talk more about the boat, please start a new topic in the other section.

anyone else think they have a problem with that first part of the lift hill, they have already repoured the footer, appeared to have difficulties with the lift hill supports, and have had that piece of track laying there in front of the supports for a good week now.

Speaking of that lift hill piece, it looks like they're about ready to lift it.The small yellow crane on site has cables/straps attached to it.
