When i would watch the Diamondback webcam, it seemed like it took forever to top that lift. A lot of the work done was out of view of the cam due to some of the course going out into the ravine and woods.

We had a little more steel up before you guys by this time, (the bottom of the first drop and some lower sections) but it seems like your construction crew is bigger than ours was and you have an additional crane. However, the lift seems to always take the longest of all the sections due to having to assemble the chain return and parts of the starcase before the piece goes up, so I would say your project is moving very well.

Enjoy these slower moments... when this thing reaches it's peak, track installation is going to move very quickly. They may have the layout done by Christmas.

The park promised to have it topped off by 10/31. I think they're doing ok right now.

Just got back from Scarowinds... I can tell you this...

THere area boat load of support pieces and about as much track laying in the parking lot.. The South Gate was open and you could drive right up to the track and stuff...

Went to Scarowinds last night, it was pretty cool seeing what's been built so far and all of the peices that are sitting in the parking lot.

Actually there is going to be really bad weather in the area today. If its not done by noon I wouldn't not expect it to get done today or maybe even tomorrow. Then again it was 60% chance of rain this weekend and virtually no rain fell, this storm is just a wee bit bigger thou.

It's just steady rain isn't it? I wouldn't think that would matter unless it was a downpour with heavy winds or something.

Its all yellow and red on the radar, I thought I heard NBC say it would be windy this afternoon too, I'm not sure it will matter as the whole crew seems to be in high gear already, I don't know which dot to follow on the webcam, they are all moving to fast.
