now with the trail the that one attraction in the shed behind the intimidator are the y going to stop placing track untill scarowinds is over or reroute the trail?
also look at how small the drop zone looks in the pic.

The positioning of this coaster is genius. From the road, those hills are going to dominate the skyline.

Yeah, I think they're going to finish the first drop and assemble the first few parts of the second hill today. Progressing pretty quickly. Perhaps by end of the season we'll see the third hill complete?

The webcam is a lot clearer and better now. It looks like the bottom of the first hill is completely finished and they have started up the second one.

I can't wait to see the completed "out" run of this coaster.... it should make pulling into the parking lot a totally different experience as you drive along those huge hills.

They are just mad that they received the (probably unreliable) Intamin over the B&M with a higher hourly capacity and more airtime.

There coaster is also being installed in a back corner hole of their park, which won't make it very visually impressive.

Granted: That speed and that first hill on KD's coaster are going to be INSANELY awesome, but, OTS restraints on a non-flipping ride == lame.

The KD fanboys over at KDfansite continue to bash the Carowinds coaster because they're jealous. I love it. B&M>Intamin. Another piece of track going in.

They are trying really hard to convince themselves that their coaster is going to be the best thing since sliced bread, while ignoring it’s shortcomings such as: reliability, low capacity, and lack luster short layout. Few of them will ever admit that Carowinds is getter the better deal. Granted their coaster may be special in it’s own right, but there is nothing that compares to an B&M. You realize this as you ride coaster from other companies. Say what you want about air time and such but at the end of the day, there is nothing like the smooth glide of a B&M. At Carowinds, I will always favor After Burner over the others. Night Hawk is too rough, Cobra is fun but it is no B&M.

Exactly. Rumbling along a Vekoma or Intamin (with old wheel springs) will immediately make you glad that we're getting a B&M.

I am a former KDfansite member. I live in Virginia 1 hr from KD and I am excited about both coasters. I do not want to talk bad about either coaster. I am very happy about the Intimidator partnership for the parks and I even mentioned that to Dani on the Behind The Thrills podcast back in August. All I can say concerning what I quoted is that I am moving on from my kdfansite days and looking forward to a bright future on these forums in a positive environment. That is one of the reasons I left kdfansite is due to the jealous issues with their taste of things when in all reality you should be excited and happy at what you are receiving.

I just viewed the webcam, track is starting to go upward into the 2nd hill before the turn into the maincourse of the ride. Keep up the wonderful work Carowinds, you guys are rocking it out with construction on this record breaking coaster and I cannot wait to ride it next year.
