Thank goodness for the new webcam, although I wish it would stay one camera for more like 30 sec before switching. But hey I don't want to complain to much.

As far as the curve on the second hill it seems kinda like Goliath's (sfog) curve before the final row of bunny hops, but not as Tight. I know goliath's really threw you in the train going through it. I hope since ours "looks" more stretched out it won't be as bad, and much smoother. We all will have to wait and see.

I'm not sure how I feel about the 2nd hill. I understand we want air time as well, but I think the twisted hill as it is works well because it's a pretty big S curve. The secondary camera position really shows how much you have to twist back to get to the camel back hills. And that's pretty unique to Intimidator and I think more variety in design is better for us.

I do agree with this. Also, there should be great airtime at the top of that hill in the front of the train.

I mentioned in an earlier post that you could see Intimidator from the Belk parking lot at Carolina Place Mall. I decided to take a photo of that today on the way home from work. Impressive!

One thing to bare in mind regardinging the second hill is the degree of banking. The train will bank just beyond 90 degrees right as it rolls over into the dive turn. And that is at 171 feet above grade. Its a very unique feature to Intimidator. For the air time junkies, hills 3, 5 and 6 will deliver in excess.

It maybe just be but it doesnt look like the top of the second hill is flat at all. It looks like a normal hill but curved. I think wory's last pic shows it perfectly

Actually after seeing these new pics that 2nd drop is looking pretty awesome. The front of the train should have some nice floater air over the top with a directional change thrown in, and the back should have some nice pull down the twisty backside.

I took this photo today from the top floor of the new hospital parking deck in Pineville. I live just a few blocks from there and had a feeling the coaster would be visible from there.

I think that diving hill is going to give riders a profound sense of helplessness. Also has to be the tallest diving hill in the world, right?

I was just thinking they must measure up to the top of the flag, and that it only takes you about 250-280 feet up.

I think it's just a perspective issue. Skytower is farther away from Intimidator, and so is Drop Zone. I do believe Skytower is 320 ft tall (or was it 340 ft) to the top white part where the light bulbs are. Maybe 320 to that, and another 20 ft for the rods.

I know it isn't anything major since construction started a while ago, but I was down by Clermont Steel Fabricators earlier today and there is a truckload of mighty beefy supports ready to make that trip down south. I liked the color of the supports in the pictures, but they look diferent in person. I love it!!!
