General Carowinds discussion

Perhaps they jumped to the hill with the trims just to appease us on this board. You got to admit, they have been very attentive to us. When we started crying about the camera angle, they changed it, when we demanded a second camera, they supplied it, when the camera was out of focus, they fixed it.

Yes I bet they did change their multi-million dollar long-planned construction efforts to suit the needs of our tiny internet community.... totally plausible.

So far we have the big camelback and one of the 2 small ones with no trim - one to go!

Its there, I tried to get a picture of it, but I couldnt find the "night" setting on my camera... Its about half way up the 3rd hill.. Not a big deal, but I'm sure that hill will be awesome with it there.. I feel that the train will reach its max speed at the bottom of the second hill.. That ride is spectacular up close..

Unfortunately I think that is exactly what that is, just without the walkways installed beside the track yet. You can see the fins that will hold up the walkway on the side of the track.

This is my first post here and I don't mean to be negative or anything, but if you look closely at the last photo Wormy just posted it looks like trims will be installed on that hill. It looks as if there are 'steps' leading halfway up the hill like this and where the steps end it looks like something is attached to the track.

On another note, this may be one of the easiest coasters to build ever for one of such a large size. With most of the ride on flat land right up against the parking lot where equipment and track comes in, it's pretty much a dream scenario.[/quote]

I was gonna mention the same thing, but you beat me to it. This must be the reason the workers are moving so freakishly fast. I am curious to the fact if how easy and accesible the job is, if they talked the construction crew down on price.

That's the main reason that KD's InTima is so far behind. Working ankle deep in mud isn't good for four hundred foot tall cranes

Congrads on topping second and third hill! :D

is it me or does that 3 hill seemed oddly shaped?

and about the trim...c'mon guys lol. the coaster would have dropped about 90 ft in just one hill when it gets to the top of that 3rd hill. Its gonna have to get rid of that speed somehow to make the ride not too extreme. Its like this...

Trim the ride or make it the course longer and taller to accomodate the speed and pay more for the product...which do you think the park is gonna chose lol

yeah, thats for the splash down lol
