Why did they paint the track white in the station?

I have not seen the web cam in the last several days (I am only going by what I can see from the amazing turkey shot) but could that be maybe a covering, tarp, plastic, etc, to protect it from the station construction or have something to do with a covering in order to work underneath? They have plastic down to protect the electrical work going on underneath the station platform from getting damaged from the rain. They do not have the station roof up yet so it looks like the electrical work has begun underneath the station so that is why they have the white tarp there. I finally got to drive by the park again today for the first time since 10/31 and when I turned onto Carowinds Blvd (coming from Hwy 51) it was like WOW look at all that red track!
