Good point, but no I don't expect them to do that for all of their rides. Heck I don't even EXPECT it for Intimidator. However, it would be a nice gesture to have a greeter for their more than popular rides. They almost always have one at Nighthawk. It would be nice to see them put one in front of the Intimidator and maybe even Afterburn or even Carolina Cobra. Especially this season, with Carowinds being looked at NATIONALLY may I add, I would expect to see attendance like super HIGH, not just "high" attendance but "HIGH" attendance. Which is good for business, but think about it in a business person's mind. Would you want to spend a few more bucks this season by paying to have a few extra people working or would you want to save your money and lose out on possibly making even more money.

Let's just say for a second you have never been to Carowinds, and you hear about Intimidator. You decide, "Hey let's go visit Carowinds to see what they are about." Now after visiting Carowinds which of the following scenarios is more likely to make you come back for another visit:

A.) You walk through the park. Experience some EXTREMELY long lines for the "newest" attraction. Go about your business and try to enjoy the day with huge crowds in attendance (Getting hidden in the crowd). Riding the rides and enjoying them but being around the ride ops who are "just there and don't care." Have a mediocre day and leaving the park feeling completely exhausted and worn-out from the day.

OR

B.)You walk into the park. See EXTREMELY long lines for the "newest" attraction, but the lines are moving quickly. Riding the rides and being around ride ops and park staff that are enjoying their jobs and having fun. Seeing huge crowds but it's not really affecting you and your experience. And even if you start to feel anxious, or upset, or exhausted, a park employee comes to talk to you about your day or tries to cheer you up making you feel wanted and important.

As for me, I and along with others on this forum, Anthony included, know which of the two Carowinds is trying to choose. Again I'm not saying it is needed on EVERY ride but on the major ones, sure. What a better to make a positive family experience? That being said, which one would you choose, a for sure way to fund new rides or a risk that could help fund even more rides than previously thought?

Agreed. But that really isn't the point. The point is about one key element: Guest Interaction. And guest interaction is a key element in making first and non-first time guests transform into repeat guests. Thus bring in more money than previously thought or expected.

As far as the speed of the line goes, I am only saying that by having someone at the front it could potentially aid in speeding up the line. Assisting in height checks and reminding soon-to-be-riders that certain behaviors are expected while in line.

Um.......

I think its called a Q-bot???      JK. Jk.

Seriously though, if they could do that for everyone on all the rides that would be soo cool. They would have to rename the park to "CAROWINDS 2.0: the park of the future"

Wait time sign's in front of attraction's would be a great help. Like " The Wait time from this point is 60 minutes" Rides like:

Intimidator ( New)
Nighthawk
Rip Roaring Rapids
Afterburn
Cobra
Vortex
Boo Blasters

Those are the major rides that really have the long waits.
Without a wait time notification, it's like your setting your own self up to be miserable and impatient standing in line.

Then all of us with Iphones could have a app and just look on there. :) Hey Disney has it lol.
But usually they just have signs the wait time from that point.

Working Boo Blasters last year, I can honestly say that when I was working there we did real good at keeping the wait time as low as possible with given variables. During full time operation of the summer months the longest I ever saw the line get when I was working was about maybe 30 minutes at most. Although during SCarowinds I did see the line get up to about just under an hours wait. This was mainly due to the fact that parents brought kids under the age of 6 with them to an event that is rated PG-13. I know that my motivation for staying on my toes and pushing myself, was so that guests wouldn't have to wait for a very long time so they could enjoy themselves, the ride, and other attractions that Carowinds' had to offer.
