Well what I am talking about is that same person being at the front of the line regardless if the ride is down or not. It can help improve operations of the ride and expedite waiting times for checking a child's height or even saving someone the trouble of getting in the line only to find out that the ride has just gone down. Now obviously something is needed to communicate to the greeter that the ride is down, for instance a whistle or a bell or something, but the position would seriously help. Not to mention as a guest, having someone to talk to about the ride or just how your day is going makes me feel important and wanted. Not to mention it takes my mind off of the time I have truly been waiting; thus making it seem like I have waited shorter than I really have.

Ok, I see what your saying. But I've never had to have someone tell me if a coaster is up or not. If upon walking up to the coaster I see no trains running, it's probably down. If I see Intimidator with a train in the station, one on brakes, and one stuck on mid course, the ride is probably down. If the line extends from the end of the que and around by the 3-point shootout, the wait is probably too long(goes for both Nighthawk and Intimidator) and I'll go to the Flyers for a while.
And yes, I'm busting your chops a little. All in fun. :) But I agree, Nighthawk and Intimidator could use one, most of the others probably not. Maybe Rip Roaring Rapids as well. You really don't know how long the line is till you walk halfway down the tunnel.
How do Carowinds check ride times for you guys that work there. **Edit** I'm thinking they probably don't do it since they aren't posted. May be something to look at, a couple people going around checking ride times.**I know Disney gives someone in line a card and they give it to the attendent when they get to the end to check theirs. I'm interested in seeing how well our staff handles Intimidator's riders, and hopefully curb the downtime as best they can.

I could careless about where the paint came from...it just looks stunning. I know I sound like an idiot saying this, but just the paint job on Gr8 Sk8 (or whatever its called) makes it look brand spankin new. It really breaths some life into that area of the park. The way it was painted before it just kinda hid itself away so I never rode it. But now it catches your attention in just the right amount and makes it easy on the eyes. Just stunning. I am really excited now about Planet Snoopy. I think this year I might actually go there and ride as many of the rides I can. I know in the past I was kinda disgusted with the area and all the kids but now it just seems....more family friendly than kid friendly.

Actually looking at the pics again it kinda looks like it was the light blue paint that was left over from when Sky Tower was repainted under Paramount. You know when they added the white and light blue paint job with the incredibly faint blue or white stars.

Back to Intimidator:
It looks as though the queue line has all the side railings in place and the mid-line vending area looks complete but one problem I think I see. I haven't seen any vending machines go in and it appears as though the railings kinda block the vending area (kinda like at a rest area where the machines are "protected" from vandals). Thus making it seem impossible to install vending machines. Anyone else see what I am seeing or am I hallucinating? Also is that a perimeter fence up around the last turn into the station?

I believe that's Vortex, not cyclone.
