If it is a B&M would anyone think we would start to see track at the plant in Ohio? I mean if you are talking about 5500 -600 0 feet is gonna take some time to build all those pieces and get them painted. But then again we may not see pieces until early next year for 2015. I do not know where overseas the factory for intamin is (where the track is built).

On a side note how cool would it look coming down I-77 to 300+ft coaster running out of the park all the way to the interstate? If they were to go that route would probably be the cheapest construction cost to assemble and land prep. Easy access, mostly flat ground etc. I know that is only a small portion in the cost of a coaster.

I also know CF likes there coasters to be seen. Isn't that one reason why Intimidator was put right up front? To draw people in. Just my 2 cents so far......I also could be DEAD wrong! Only time will tell. ....

I have no idea how far in advance they start making the track. You have to remember, B&M has more than one plant.... I thought the track at the plant a year and half ago in Ohio was for Gatekeeper, turns out, it went to china... I think... Was very surprised it didn't go to CP since it was so close... but that just shows you that it could be getting fabricated anywhere.. i have no idea how many plants they having doing the pre-fab work, the plant in Ohio is not owned by B&M they just use them to make the track, that plant does more than roller coasters I am sure... Hopefully it will be made in Ohio and some nice folks on here will get some pictures. If I get back to Ohio next year for Banshee, we might make a detour back to the factory to see what we can find...

I don't think it would be that unrealistic, especially if they expand the front of the park and put the station there. As mentioned, that would be the cheapest and easiest coaster to build. Intimidator was put in the parking lot for the same reason, besides that, there was nowhere else to put it.

Lets assume the Ohio plant will be the one making it, and there are no other projects in line. Not sure if they are doing Banshee there but if they are, they likely won't finish that up until early 2014. Assuming this is a 2015 coaster, fabrication will likely begin in late spring, with parts showing up in the parking lot by summer. It was reported that the Sky Coaster will be around all next year. That seems very unrealistic to me, being that a 2015 Giga should have already been well under construction. I think Intimidator's lift hill was completed during the month of October.

Maybe not, but the coaster will not go out that far. I really believe it will just go out as far as the entrance and be some way tied in, since the entrance and coaster are slated for the same year.... kind of makes sense? You will be able to see it no matter where it is, don't worry.

Yes they are doing Banshee in Ohio from what I know. I don't know if one plant does all the pieces or how all that works? I just know that the factory is called Claremont Steel and I have been there... I don't know if they would do the whole thing or what, I would think so, but I don't know. When intimidator was built, they started removing the log flume in I think June or July that year? Maybe it was earlier? They might not open xtreme skyflyer next year, I don't know... I would think they would keep it through the summer at least. I dont think it would be impossible to rip it down at the end of October and start building and have it ready for the next year... given that weather is good etc. Intimidator finished way ahead of schedule so I know there would be plenty of time. I think we will start to see some activity mid year next year, possibly before. If they use that bus parking lot, we might see some new parking arrangements next year too, but I don't know if that is slated for next year or not... I am sure the fabrication will start early next year if it hasn't already began somewhere... I am sure there will be plenty of people that get to the plant next year and are able to take pictures of what track is there just like every year...

I don't recall any confirmed sources saying that Xtreme SkyFlyer was staying open through 2014. Bart said it was being moved or removed but never stated a date.

Son of Beast wasn't demolished until 10/9 last year and the lift hill for Banshee is already 3/4 done. I think we're jumping the gun a bit saying it's too late for a 2015 coaster and it's not even October yet. Our winters are much milder than those in Cincinnati. I don't expect to see anything happening until after the park is closed for the season.

I'm 50% sure that the coaster's going to be a B&M. ;) Based on past history, parts wouldn't start showing up in the Ohio plant until early next spring if this is a 2015 coaster - certainly not right now.

Yea, me either. I just assumed it wont be leaving next year  I hope I am right because I don't know if I will do it this year or not. Yea they can build very very quick, so there is no reason why construction would have to begin at the beginning of next year etc. I could see it starting like August / September possibly, but like you said Arby, the lift on Banshee is going up very fast. Obviously we don't even know how long this coaster will be etc. so its really hard to say when it would start construction, and I to agree that fabrication wouldn't start that soon. I don't know how long it takes to make a piece of track, or a whole entire coaster, but I don't see it taking over a year... I dont know... guess we will just wait and see. Im definately sticking to my guns and saying B&M all the way

Plus its pretty much confirmed that the coaster will come in 2015 so...

^ Yea that sounds about right. I would expect August / September construction but I don't know. It depends a lot on location I am sure. Seems like everything is pretty flat where the coaster will go so its just a matter of clearing what is there (sky coaster and parking lot???) and digging footers.. doesn't seem like to much to be done, a lot like intimidator was probably pretty simple, wasn't the entire course done in about 3 or 4 months?

All B&M Track is made in Ohio and shipped. Gatekeeper came from there, there's a decent little short doc on Coasterbuzz about the place on the main page.

Intamin comes shipped in containers unless they've recently started fabrication in the states.

P.S. everyone saying that the coaster would be too loud to go by the palladium unless they tore that down, they could easily silence the ride. Just fill the track.

Ah OK I thought B&M had a plant over seas as well, guess not. I was just reading that the Ohio plant does all the USA coasters, I guess they do some or all of the non-USA as well since the track I saw when I was there went to China..

Anyways back on topic...
