General Carowinds discussion

hahaha. I had a dream last night about our coaster... it was bright orange and it was a new style of seats from B&M, it was similar to the sky rush design but a little different. I dont know what the name of it was though, I just know in the dream it was me and some people from here, I guess, trying to find anything we could, and I spotted a car for one of the trains and it looked like intimidators seats, only the back 2 seats were hung over the edge

Maybe this dream will come true... hahahhaha. Just think a bright orange 300ft tall coaster with... hmmm... silver rails and supports??

I don't think we're getting a wing coaster so this is probably a bit off topic but has anyone here been on 2, 3 or even all 4 versions of a 'wing coaster'? If so, what were your impressions? How would you rate them?

    B&M Wing Coaster
    Intamin Wing Coaster
    Intamin Wing Rider Coaster
    S&S Arrow 4th Dimension Coaster

I had that dream too. But for me, the coaster was sending out radio waves telling me to get on. The next thing I knew, I was coming down the lift hill, when the whole thing started collapsing. Instead of hitting the ground, those winged seats caught air and I was hurled somewhere into South Carolina. Once I landed and looked around, I realized that I was at the old Heritage USA site, when Jim Bakker and a Tammy Faye look-a-like, came running out trying to sell me enough food to last a year because according to them, the world was coming to an end and I would need it to survive. At least you were smart enough not get on the coaster in your dream. Those darn radio waves commands get me every time!

That dream is about as random as my conversations with a girl I know. ;)

i went over to Screamscape and read that. It represents a far stretch to travel from seeing engineers on site to get to a Giga. Also consider this, in the past, when one company gets in bed with a manufacturer for a certain ride type, they generally end up buying more than one. I guess this is an attempt to beat the competition. Some folk have said there are contracts, but I really don't know. Logic tells me that Cedar Fair already has B&M on the hook for the next one. CF is not the type to allow themselves to get aped by the competition. If you look back at the history of these things in the US, that is always the way it has happened. Busch got the dive machines in place, Six Flags went ga-ga for the Batman clone inverts, and the floorless. Paramount did the Giant Drops, the launch, and the Flying Dutchmen until they ended up in court. (Kind of funny how Cedar Fair ended up with two of the three without ordering one.) Other folk did the boomerangs.

So don't worry kids, the Carowinds Giga is safe. I'm also willing to cede the 300ft winged coaster to Tampa. You see there is something at the B&M plant for everybody.

Because the park (really fla) lacks a true airtime/speed machine. It will bring the park a solid line of coasters. Will amost guranteed to be the tallest in fla for a very long time. Its a rare breed of coasters to have with less than 10 world wide....

Now im waiting on your reasoning as to why they would not since you doubt they would...please, more than a 3 word response next time...or did you just wanna conteract the claim that they may with no form of substance at all...just a "no" answer?

Somehow I dont think BGT is a direct competition of any cedar fair park...

Unless its not B&M providing it. It is not unusual for different employees of different parks to travel to other park chains to check out their new rides. Universal and disney does it all they time...even giving out special tours. usually when VIP people from another parks visits another park out of the blue its to get more research on a particular "something". What does canadas wonderland have that no other parks in have? You guess it...
