I think this thread is slowly dieing out, there really isn't much more to discuss at this point, at least not for me... I am running out of ideas hahaha.

Anyone thought about possible themes for the new coaster? I know Panthers were discussed before... but what else? I guess its hard to say and predict with not even knowing much about the ride itself. I would love to see a coaster with the panthers colors though or something similar with a blue, black, and silver or something, think that would look nice. But I also think something bright would be cool to just because it would stand out more. Just hope nothing red... geez could you imagine..

I highly doubt a panthers themes coaster. First of all its cheesy and basically unappealing. Intimidator is about a race legend...not nascar as a whole.

If we didn't have so many red track coasters; I would have suggested the theme after the North Carolina State Bird, "THE CARDINAL" or "The CARLOLINA CARDINAL."
But then again, to much Carolina. But it could work.

I was thinking, and its a little off-track but...
a cool name for the coaster would be PHANTASM, meaning a ghost or apparition.
With lots of mythical or supernatural creatures being themed to recent Cedar Fair coasters, Gatekeeper, Banshee, Leviathan, etc.

Maybe a color scheme similar to Banshee? Purple and White or light blue? I hope whatever it is it's unqiue in as many ways as possible.

I'm new to the forum. Anyway, going along with the supernatural creatures, I think the name "Jormungandr" would be a great fit for the new coaster. A Jormungandr is this huge norse based beast that is similar to the Leviathan. So Jormungandr would be my name choice.

I like the whole "White Lightning" idea with white track and gray-ish/white trains.

White Lightnin' was my favorite coaster growing up and I would really like to see the name return but I hope they save that name for a launch coaster. There was nothing better than to hear the ride op say "Put your head against the head rest, lightning strikes..............NOW!" Good times.

It may go dormant during the winter but trust me, it will come roaring back in the spring. Don't let the quality control people at the B&M plant in Ohio, place a returned piece of defected track out behind their building. OMG, this site will explode with so many posts.

If by some remote chance it ends up being a winged coaster I like the name 'First in Flight". If it has the fly through columns like Gate Keeper, they can be done in the replica of the Kitty Hawk monument.
