General Carowinds discussion

Yes I am aware; however, I wasn't when I drew this. I meant to say the grove when I said plaza. This is actually a lot of fun creating and seeing ideas untill the official announcement, bring back memories of our intimidator sketches.

There are only three possible paths that I can think of this coaster going. Red and yellow are the two potential paths that I could see based on the information from the German source about crossing state lines. There is a possibility of blue, however doughtful as this route would not cross state lines, and disrupting the season pass parking lot. Red is a possible path, it would make our "under the bridge" joke a reality. However, this would cause a change in rip roaring rapids. I noticed this path would go straight through the storage shed. (I think that is the storage shed, if someone can help me out). If this is a possible path, I could see the lift hill between rapids, and the amitheater, and the first drop would go straight under the bridge. This however would cause a change in the maintaince road, as I heard is too reliable. Honestly, I see yellow as a number one choice for a entrance coaster, and red would be my second choice.

Using Jwrickner's yellow path, I created a new layout that would tower of the bus parking lot, make a tight turn before going up a high speed curve (the small hill on Leviathan at CW) and up a hill around 15-16 stories tall. It would then make a crossover turnaround in the Grassy Area by the parking lot. Then it would go into another high speed curve before heading into a hill around 11-12 stories tall. I would then make two over banked turns before heading into a break run.

Yes, and it also said it would be around 5,000 ft long. At my guess your idea would be too large. However, I wish your idea would work, it looks great! This quote sayes it will cross state lines multiple times, and thus intimidator. I am assuming this means it will cross intimidator?

Without names, Carowinds, United States: For 2015 B & M is to provide a larger roller coaster after Carowinds. The gigantic roller coaster is a targeted improvement of more than 90 meters over a length of over 1500 meters, the state line of North and South Carolina repeatedly cross and thus her little brother Intimidator, a B & M Hyper Coaster in the same park, make easily in the shade.

Because the last ride offically to cross the state line was Thunder Road and there is plenty of room in the bus parking lot and on the NC side. Plus 33 of 50 is pegged for the NC side. Furthermore, unless Carowinds specific wants the coaster to cross the state line, I dont see any reason that B&M would be aware of where it is. As far as Intimidator, why wouldstack a new ride over it? It contradicts eariler information from reliable sources.

Nighthawk crosses state lines.

According to Google Maps so does Cobra but at one point showed Vortex crossing the state line. State lines are not always straight lines like a map shows. I am wondering if the offical line according the state surveys doesnt meander through Carowinds in a wobbly fashion or if the states agree to have a discrepancy zone for Carowinds(As in, 10 to 30 feet over the line on either side is considered not crossing state lines).

That made me wonder, does the state line really go down the bridge? Or was I led to believe that. I apologize this is getting off subject.
