To me though...a "Giga Wing" coaster just seems dangerous. I mean don't get me wrong...I know nothing is safe in this world but all the stress that's going to be on the wings (Arms), Even on the riders....I just can't see it UNLESS they plan on having a lot of "our friends" trim breaks install...

Is your wild speculation based on any sort of engineering knowledge whatsoever? They won't build it if it's dangerous.

I'd love to see a Skyrush-style giga. That's my hope out of the possibilities we've put on the table here. There's also the option of a brand new B&M giga train that hangs over the track.

If your talking about a B&M floorless train, that would be cool. I can see them putting and overhead lapbar restraint like Windseeker. If it's Intamin, Skyrush 300ft version will be nice as well.

I guess soon we should hear about some activity at the steel factory in Ohio if we are getting a B&M Giga. Which probably would be easier to build and construct instead of Intamin, which would be manufactured outside of the country? So i am guessing either a B&M Giga similar to Leviathan, or an Intamin Giga in the style of Skyrush. Hopefully we will no more soon.

Well Jonathan to answer your question(s). Yes I do have a background in engineering.

I'm also a certified ride inspector for the state of NC. I mostly cover the WNC area however, which is mainly fairs and etc. But I also cover the NC State Fair and if I have to I can also cover any amusement park in the state of NC.

I'm also a certified inspector for ACCT. Which covers Zip lines and High Ropes Courses. I also do high ropes rescues training as well.

But over all, I have a background in the family entertainment business all my life. Grant I maybe young. But I'm very good at what I do.

Now then, to answer your other question, "They won't build it if it's dangerous." Please sir tell me one thing in this world that isn't dangerous? If you say, "staying home and reading a book", I hear that all the time...But my respond to that is, You end up taken a nap and your house burns down. Point is, Anything can happen in this world. No matter how safe we try to make things...things happen.

You could be riding Afterburner and the whole wheel assembly come off and the train either derails or hits a support (Cause in the theory, the train would be leaning to a side)

Six Flags is suing Gerstlauer for the death that happen on the Texas Giant. Which in my "opinion" Six Flags has a strong case because...All train "now days" as an on board computer system. That train should not of been able to dispatch if the lap bar wasn't fully down and locked. So there could of been a glitch in the system. Do you think Gerstlauer wanted this to happen? Do you think Six Flags wanted this to happen? Of course not. It was an accident. And it cost someone's life.

We both know that there has been other rides that were build and didn't last but maybe a season or two because of design flaws. Example. Ghost Town In The Sky, they had BRAND NEW TRAINS built for the "Red Devil" and the trains failed inspection because of cracks.

Also take Intamin for another example, they built I-305. They had problems with that ride from the start. In fact (which we all know) they had to rebuilt the first turn. Why? They should of built it right the first time. Don't you think? I mean after all they did use a computer right?

The point is Jonathan...The best engineer in the world can make a mistake very easy. Nobody is perfect. A computer can make a mistake. A small little glitch or a typo (which we all make) can be mean life or death.

Don't you agreed?
Does this answer your question? Or should I go into more details. And if you wish, you can PM and we can talk in private.

But that's the funny part about board rooms. 80% of us don't know each other or what we do. So in other words, never judge a book...by it's cover.

I doubt it. Slide sections are way bigger than what those individual boxes could handle. Plus they wouldn't put slide pieces there next to Windseeker, they would be more over in the parking lot next to Thunder Road.

I said slide tubes. You know, the things you go down in on a water slide. :D
