Keep in mind that Cedar Fair (in one way or another) had the rights to the name Banshee since at least 1994 or 1995 as that was the original name for what is now Mantis at Cedar Point. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mantis_(roller_coaster)
I still have the t-shirt that they gave to 1996 Season Pass holders who purchased their pass at the end of 1995 that had the Banshee logo on it looking forward to the new ride for the 1996 season. Funny thing is, the Banshee logo that they started using in 1995 for Cedar Point is the exact same logo they started using last year for Kings Island.
