Look diddy! I made it on the google! Yeppers, that was mine. I took that with my Phantom quadcopter. I believe Wormy was with me that day. I have no problem with it. When you put your photos on the internet, you assume that risk.

Looks like prep work for the new roadway and roller coaster footers. I also think that they will add a small lake and fill up the dry basins in that field. Work on the footers should have started by now. Which is what this could be...

How can you possibly assume that's where footers will be when you have absolutely no context as to where the picture is at?

As you can see.. no footers yet. But the initial lift footer did come about between July 6 and July12. So we're not that far off (if Intimidator can be used as the basis.. maybe it can't?)

Based on my trip out there Friday, there is still a bit of land prep to do at the Go-Kart site. Let's not forget they are installing new Tollbooths out on the entrance road too, as well as possibly a whole new parking lot. I would imagine that is what you are seeing in the above blurry picture.

Plan to be on the lookout for a release date of the coaster on the week of August 24 - 30. Intimidator was announced on the 26th and Windseeker was released on the 24th of August. Does anyone know the announcement date of the Cobra?

Also Intimidator track pieces started showing up on August 7th so we should be prepared to know what the coaster is going to be in almost 1 month and a 1-3 week(s). (To be Technical)

Yes, It looked like a footer but it is blurry. Besides, as I look at the photo again, there is still a LOT of land prep to be done. But I expected the construction crew to have already started on the new road and toll booths, which will look gorgeous when done. I also think that they will refill the dry basins to make the area look more appealing. Then again, I'm only going by those plans we saw of the front gate many pages ago which mentioned a basin on it.We'll know in a week or two.

I do remember reading somewhere that the main gate will be close for a portion of the season as they start construction on it and the south gate would be used. I took it as just for Scarowinds but maybe they meant sooner.

well those cylinders in the back could be footer forms, but I think alot of grading will occur before that happens. They look more like sewer drains to me.

Lot of Engineers on the site tonight. Let's listen to Jay, Wormy, and some of the other old timers. Facts and construction will come. I remember that with Top Gun and Intimadator. I even got to meet Wormy during Intimy construction.
