General Carowinds discussion
#56751
The last few pages of this thread are killing me, lol.

Everyone has concrete evidence of nothing and each name is "definitely the name for our giga." Aside from a few people, no one knows anything 100% about this project with regards to colors, layout, announcements, construction timelines, etc. I will admit though... it is fun to watch the excitement build at a furious rate every time something new appears.

yep and as soon as you pull through the classic toll plaza you are greeted by a coaster at the gate of some werewolf creature man thing. too funny.

The issue is if you assume that all of these trademarks are actually going to be used for rides in the next year or two, it seems like Fury 325 has to be for Carowinds, unless Cedar Fair is building another giga next year or the 325 has nothing to do with the height (but what would it be for then?).

325 can be for height but doesnt have to be for a coaster. As I said in another post, I seriously doubt they use the same name for their new baby of the south as a new ride BG just opened in tampa. Carowinds does have some weird connection with BMW who has a 325i. Theres also a Plymouth Fury car that had 325 HP. Captain America Nick Fury uses a drug called GH-325. My best guess, Fury 325 is just the new name for this years Scarowinds maze, y 325, no idea. maybe the maze is 325 feet long.

Not using the name fury because a ride hundreds of miles away opened with the word fury in it makes no sense.

People aren't going to mistake the two as most people won't realize the similarities if two rides hundreds of miles apart.

Stop thinking like an enthusiast.

Look on pg 72, about halfway down.
And I would like Centurion better than Rougarou. The theming would fit in better for an every day cedar fair park. I think that Rougarou is for Scarowinds. Just my opinion. And I also agree with Jonathan in that the architecture of the toll plaza matches the plantation house. I think that they will clear out or expand the bottom of the plantation house so larger crowds can come through faster. I think that the security checkpoint will be moved too. Just my thoughts.

I'm sure this season is the only time attractions will be opening up this late. I think it has to do with fact that Carowinds tried to bite off more than they could chew for one offseason. (Re-tracking parts of Hurler, disassembling and reassembling Ripcord, repainting Ricochet and Afterburn, and all of the other projects that opened late this year.)

By the way, Sean978 and I will be at the park tomorrow, does anyone know if they'll be there tomorrow as well?
