General Carowinds discussion

It's still on the page. It's just some random guy. Not credible.

FYI you can find all Carowinds permit applications with the City of Charlotte here: https://webpermit.mecklenburgcountync.g ... ctId=42552

I don't believe the park is required to get a zoning variance for the height, but I'm not sure. That would be public record as well if they did. If someone really wants to play detective you can call the city zoning offices and ask if they have applied for any variances, but you probably shouldn't waste someone at the city's time with it.

I can't believe how close I was. Just one day off. haha. Anyway, I agree that these teasers are describing the park in general. But if you still believe that the name will be Centurion (which I hope It will be), then these teasers directly state that, well, in a way it does. I'm still betting in the Centurion name with Roman theme. But we're all open to free speculation and opinions.

With the Roman teasers it looks like they could be going back to the Centurion name, and Fury 325 was just a tease. But I don't think they would tease with the 325 number and then build a coaster at a lower height than that. That would only serve to disappoint. So I'm wondering if they are actually going to push 400 feet in height, to be on par with Dragster and Kingda Ka. Even though those are not traditional coasters, they are still the world's tallest if I am not mistaken. And not counting that Poler coaster, if it has even been built.

No one has teased anything related to the name "Fury 325." It was discovered on the US trademark registration website. It could be for a different project at another park, or it could end up being used for nothing at all and they release it.

How do we know it is B&M other than the report from over seas back in the winter? So far, no one has confirmed a giga track piece sighting at the plant.

Jarsh also 'confirmed' it will be a B&M in a previous post. I haven't seen anything to confirm it 100%, though.

If it is an Intamin, we can have a new coaster in 2015, 2016, and 2017.

I think that we can pretty much forget about the "Fury 325" name because this coaster will be taller than 325 feet. With that said, 325 would not fit. Fury maybe but Fury 325.....ah no!

If your prediction is correct, then that would be awesome. Truly a gamechanger and a record breaker.

Well - I guess it's possible that it will be just a little taller than Leviathan........? I mean, now that I think about it, they could have made Leviathan a record breaker, but they didn't............. Why would Carowinds be any different? Just a thought. Maybe because it's in the US?? I dunno.

I still hope it's 325 at least! But I certainly wouldn't complain even if it's the same height as Leviathan!
