General Carowinds discussion

I honestly hope that no part of this giga is red, even the trains.

And I just thought of a question I have been meaning to ask.

Notice how MF and I 305 rush up the lift hill very FAST, but B&M doesn't? Which do you prefer? I'm sort of torn, because you're flying up the lift hill so fast that you don't have much time to anticipate. Then again, a slow lift hill can be annoying. I wonder why the B&M giga doesn't rush up the lift hill like Intamin?

I'm betting the odds are very good. Footers for Intimidator started showing up in early August, the announcement was in late August, track started showing up in early September and supports/track was erected in spots in mid to late September. I would imagine that by the end of the season we "might" have most (if not all) of the lift hill in place.

August 21st is a long way off. I'd be willing to bet we'll know a lot more by then.

So I guess of the four colors of B&M track at the plant that were found a couple weeks ago, none of them belong to our giga.
This means it is probably the track out back still rusting?

Skyrush's lift hill was unbelievably awesome year one - flung you out of the station and over the top and never let up - even more than El Toro. They slowed it a bit second season near the top to reduce strain. Report was wheel axles getting stress fractures or something.

I gotta agree, that area is really weak. I'm really into theme and placemaking, but I don't see anything Roman fitting into Carowinds. Doesn't matter, though. It's not Disney - they're not too serious about it. I like Centurian as a front gate "Gatekeeper". And for 300' they can call it anything they want.

The only thing about the Fury 325 name is this- If it is not for our giga, than what in the world is it for? It could end up not being used but they just trademarked it... Could it have possibly just been a backup for Centurion? I don't think any other Cedar Fair parks are rumored for a giga... Kings Island down the line possibly?

Definitely not the grass lot as that would pose too much of a risk to folks climbing on the track. Remember - this isn't Paramount anymore. And the lot next to Thunder Road is way to far away from the location to store it. That spot worked for Intimidator and Cobra due to their proximity to that area.

Like I said, the season pass holder lot and/or the bus lot will be where they store the track at. Hence the reason they closed off the season pass/bus lot.
