I saw that too. I try to avoid TPR as much as possible but they pretty much have become the comcast of roller coaster news. I got banned from the site for simply posting a coasterforce video, of a ride that they didn't have any footage of yet, yes I know they don't like them but there is no rule saying i can't post videos from there... I unfortunately can't really find another website that keeps up with all the parks as well as they do.

The only thing I'm committed to right now is coaster type, -giga. Everything else including the name is up in the air. Show me some coaster pieces at the Ohio plant and then I will believe it is a B&M. Presently no one has been able to confirm any track seen so far is for a giga. Hopefully someone will get back there soon and see what is happening with all those rusting pieces.

I've found the roller coaster and theme park subs on Reddit to be pretty good.

Just making sure that no rock is left unturned. I did notice that the building permits for the coaster station was cast back on July 9th...though it hasn't been approved yet.

Here is a valid link

That transcript was the basis for much of what we know at this point. It was discussed endlessly as there are a lot of confusing and contradictory statements in it and no one seems to know what to make of some of the comments like "This will also be one of the first of what are called winged rollercoasters in the southeast" and "This rollercoaster would max out around 65 mph."

The general consensus on here seemed to be that there were some misstatements as Peter Zeiler is from the Charlotte Economic Development commission and not a representative of Cedar Fair. It's unclear how many actual details of the ride he was given.

Thanks for that link Jonathan. I sincerely hope this is not a wing coaster. Huge mistake IMO. But, they could still claim a world's record even at just 300'. tallest "winged" coaster in the world. I only hope and pray it's not a wing. But if it is, I will still enjoy it...until the restraints end up bruising my shoulders to the point where it's no longer fun.
