General Carowinds discussion

The thing that scares me is that we don't know if it is 100% B&M. In those pages from the meeting he mentioned a wing coaster. So could it be an Intamin wing rider like Skyrush at Hersheypark. Either way I don't care as long as it's over 300 feet and breaks a speed barrier at Carowinds.
It would be nice if anyone is ever in the D.C area and goes to Glen Burnie, Maryland where Intamin manufactures their North American coasters. I will be in D.C the 23rd of August but that will be too late.

Wait - a 300 foot tall wing rider?

I doubt that......Even though Gatekeeper looks SO FUN to me. Good God, I couldn't imagine going down 300 feet at that angle.

Is it FACT or SPECULATION that whatever the ride is, it will be 300 feet or higher? At this point, I'm kind of confused on that.

Matt, considering the amount of steel that will be arriving, and also considering construction has started, I don't think it would be very realistic to store the pieces anywhere but near the construction site.

Was I the only person who saw the leaked prints? Why on EARTH would carowinds build an inversion less winged B&M coaster????? The layout is virtually spot on leviathan...with some extra track work. Several trust worthy folks have said countless of times "...its a beemer". Its a safe bet that many of you would still deny that claim even when B&M track start showing up to the park! Yeah I know...we're just speculating...but geesh...feels like im on a merry-go-round now. I'd rather speculate on things like...what rides would be included in the new Rome area or if the coaster finally go under the bridge...

Thank you coasterbruh you stole the words out of my mouth. If you have any doubt in your mind this is going to be a winged rider compare the leaked prints with the gatekeeper or wild eagle blue prints. Our prints compared are massive in length and have no inversions.

When I said a wing coaster I meant a wing rider. I know that they wouldn't build and inversionless B&M wing rider. Sorry for any confusion.

Its just that some people are acting like they're in denial and can't think rationally. They're rationalizing what they want, not what the facts suggest. And for god's sake we can physically SEE the layout at this point!

Regarding the station position mention earlier. It will seemingly be on the side cosest to the bathroom, turn right outside (facing drop tower and cyclone) and then up the hill (facing away from drop tower and cyclone's direction). And I think the break will be like Leviathan where you come up right into the station at the end, without any Intimidator-esque turn after the break.

Now onto the countdown. They are really pushing this whole rome thing EVERYWHERE. I genuinely think/hope the name will be Centurion. Only time will tell unless anyone "in-the-know" wants to dish. :p

Leviathan broke? Oh man, I really liked that ride! I guess that doesn't really bode well for our new ride then does it?

With as much as they are pushing the rome theme now I retract my statement about this being Fury325. At this point, It would be very strange to change themes this late into advertising.

Ok here's a thought. No one can confirm anything on this yet so don't bash me here.

Banshee got a brand new train design. The restraints and seats are very different from any B&M invert in the past.

Maybe this ride will inaugurate a new B&M sit-down train design with a style similar to that of Skyrush? It would makes sense considering the early "wing coaster" suggestion, but still keep this ride over 300 feet. Hershey considers Skyrush a wing-rider, so either we are getting a Giga Skyrush or a Giga B&M with Skyrush-esque trains. Either one would be absolutely FANTASTIC in my opinion, and like I said, we don't know about this for sure, so it could happen, couldn't it? I'm keeping my fingers crossed, at least

The awkward phone-pic attachment rotation should be fixed from here on out.

Carry on; you've all got thirty days to get it out of your system.
