You are correct. Hopefully this ride even if named Centurion is over 325 feet tall.

So, this is my first time posting, and I decided to jump into the deep end here.
The other day I happened to strike up a conversation with a park employee at the park and they happened to let a few things slip. Whether any of it is true or if they were just screwing with me, I can't say.
The 325 drop was confirmed, along with a speed of somewhere over 100mph. The exact speed I have no clue, but they were very clear that the park was going for speed. I wasn't given a name for the builders, but I was told it was not B&M.
So there, do with it what you will. I'm just passing along information I was told by an employee. The reactions of the other employee present seemed to back up their info as true, at least as it seems to me. I most definitely did not get the impression that they were screwing with me. Instead I got the impression they were very excited and kind of blown away by the plans they had heard.

Once again, who knows? I'm just passing along information I got from a couple of folks working in the park. Could be true, could be they were messing with me. For the time being, I have no clue. I have no inside information of the goings on in the park, just the friendly conversation of a few folks working in the park on a slow day.

Perhaps the foundation/footers etc has to be somewhat different than Leviathan because it's NOT going to be a carbon copy.

Sooooo...the big brass at carowinds just splerts out everything to regular ole employees now? Not to mention said employees are ever so willing to tell total strangers? That's worst than "my cousin baby momma aunt said...". I seriously doubt anyone outside of the decision making crew at carowinds knows exactly what is going on. Employees are specuguessing just as much as we are. Its just some people like to speak their opinion/guesses/wishes as fact. I'm gonna start reading this thread with a jar of salt from here on...

I like salt. But yeah, don't take what an employee tells you as truth because they really don't know.

There are a few very credible members here so just look at actual facts. Most of us already know the generalities but not specific details.

All I can say is in 2015 when you get to the top, Hands Up!!!!!!!

People need to realize that a lot of employees do read this site, so there's a good chance you're just getting a feedback loop where the employee reads something on here, tells you, you post it on here, repeat process.

Actually no, the Roman Godess' name is spelled 'Furies', but commonly pronounced the same a fury. They aren't the same though, but her name is where English seemingly got the word fury from. I think the Fury 325 name is a backup.

Personally, I want it desperately to be called Centurion. Its a killer name and fits a massive coaster, imo. But we've been over this... :p

I agree as well that only the brass of the park know exactly what is coming. Many employees read this forum and are just flapping their jaws hoping to read what someone posts on here to see what they can get started. Thanks for sharing though and if I had heard an employee say the same thing I would have posted it also even though I would not believe a word they are saying.

The furies were the daughters of Gaia and Uranus. It was generally held that there were three of them. Their story is even more grim than that of the banshee, so I would suspect the Fury/Roman connection is not accurate. But who knows, CF named two coasters after a racing driver that died in a crash...

I came up with an idea..... and this is just a shot in the dark, not a legitimate prediction....... what if Carowinds got 'Fury 325' and KD got a 'Fury' hyper coaster? The coasters would follow the same rules as Intimidator 305 and Intimidator. I know this is completely, and utterly ridiculous, but I was just thinking that something like that could happen.
