General Carowinds discussion

I've heard on this and other forums "B&M will never do another launch" and "B&M will never do a giga" Take what you hear on forums with a grain of salt, If there's enough money, the company will do it. For $5,000,000 more do you think 20ft and a launch could be added to i305? (take that with a grain of salt, because i don't have any inside info, just things that will "never happen" seem to come true eventually). Maybe this year will be the "cedar fair will never top MF" year. If cedar fair tops MF this year, i can't wait to see what goes in next at CP.

And it's kinda funny that we can still "digg this topic" at the top of the forum. Why isn't there a share on myspace link?

On the CoasterRadio.com live podcast, Paula from Holiday World just said they had to build a whole power substation just to run the flywheel for the launch and no one in the coaster community even noticed it, despite the fact that it's right next to the road. So if you really think there's a chance for a launch, look for a new power substation.

I don't think we are getting a launch, i was just pointing out the "never going to happen" does happen. We might get a mack, we might get a S&S (doubtful), could be a Gerstlauer, or Zierer, maybe even premier. No one has really matched any B&M track to carowinds yet at the US plant in ohio. Maybe our track is on a shipping container. Track usually shows up by now, so who knows.

I've heard of chance morgan, B&M, Intamin, GCI, RMC, but not Mack.

If you've been to kings dominion, you may have ridden one of their coasters.

Considering the HW coaster is only 3000ish feet, and a giga being over 5,000, it seems the more massive coaster would be well into production. You think we could actually be getting a teal flyer? I'm thinking those rusting pieces are for coasters ready to be shipped. Folks on another site are saying Carowinds has to be getting an Intamin.

What site is that?

I personally think we are getting a B&M because all the evidence is pointing to it. The Leviathan like blue print and the subsequent land clearing to support those plans. I'm not into footer science, therefore my only question is, where in the heck are the coaster pieces? Do they have the capacity to churn out that many large projects at once? Maybe they are trying to push the smaller ones out first because the larger one needs the space at the plant. That's it! Ok, I feel better now.

Owning up is important in blog land.
I think I was taken for a ride personally. I am agreeing with all of you on the blueprints until either the announcement of something different or more concrete facts are released. Good thing we only have 27 more days.
