General Carowinds discussion

I am not understanding this idea that if track is seen on I-26 it has to be from the south?? Two main ways to come from Batavia in Ohio. Via West Virginia and I-77 and the other is through Kentucky to I-40 then take I-40 east to 321 or I-77 south OR take I-26 east to I-85 North to Charlotte. It is B&M people.

I woke up earlier to this thread with hysterical laughter...

First of all, Carowinds is not hiding the track anywhere. That would cost extra money and no park goes out of its way to hide track in buildings, etc. 99% of the people who saw the track sitting in plain site wouldn't know anything anyway. Spending an extra tens of thousands of dollars just to hide the track from us? C'mon.

Secondly, I can't believe the thread blew up because someone who probably doesn't know anything about track spotted something they thought was track? For all we know, it was a portable coaster for one of the county fairs going down the highway headed to its next stop. Until I see a picture... wow.

I was trying to convince wormy to photoshop a piece of track into a picture yesterday but I'm glad he didn't take me up on that offer...

Please try to keep the discussion intelligent.

EDIT: The crane on site does indicate to me that track should be here soon, though, or the crane is needed for station construction.

I'd like to say that I'm surprised at the reaction that someone posted their cousins sisters aunts brother saw something that may have been track. But not so much anymore.

And for the record, I have no inside info that this is a B&M. Going off of what we know for sure, backed up by Josh, and knowing the company isn't quick nor keen on working with Intamin right now...the writing is on the wall.

Some of you refuse to believe proof.

I reject your reality and substitute my own :)

Successful troll was successful. Lets just hope we don't have the same trespassing issues as there were last year between KI and KIC.

You have to have track in place to build the station around.

Thanks for that info, chknwing. I didn't follow Intimidator construction as I was just a member of the GP at that time and didn't care.
