Hey boys and girls....good morning. I just reported last night what I was told. You all jumped to an assumption that it was for Carowinds and it was OUR track. It could have been anything. Almost 10 pages of conversations all night even after I clarified where the info came from.
I happen to know a lot about coasters and I have been on this site for almost 6 years. If someone would have mentioned seeing other trucks the same thing would have happened. As I said last night, patience is what is needed.
I'm on my way to the park this morning. If I see anything and I can take a picture of I will send right away just like I have done with the teases. Everyone have a great day and remember only 17 more days.

Why oh why would you come in a topic for a new roller coaster at carowinds and post what you did and now come to refudiate what you said and saying WE jumped to conclusions???? If it could have been anything WHY WOULD YOU POST IT IN HERE!!!!!

Wormy where is this pic in regards to location at the park. Wondering what the wooden structure is for.

also looking at the new road leading to the main parking lot and the blue prints for the coaster it appears the tunnel is right beside the new road.



In order to go over or under the entrance they would have to move it way out beside the road which I doubt they do just for traffic reasons. Looks like I can kiss that pipe dream goodbye.

If I had to venture a guess I would say it's out by the toll plaza construction.

And goldsteh, I like you, but you dunked a worm into a sea of hungry fishes, only to quickly pull it out. Now the fishes think there are worms nearby, so they are getting restless. Maybe they never saw the worm to begin with?


It would be nice if no one else "cried track" without photo proof. I'm sure that will go over like a lead balloon.

It's to the RIGHT of the first big turn coming into Carowinds on Avenue of the Carolinas. We suspected that is the beginning structure for the parking toll plaza. Kind of in the area where the road went to the season pass parking before.

Just an update. I was at the park all weekend. Obviously the crane is on site. And I have pics but they look the same as what is posted. I have been watching the televisions in the lines and harmony hall. There is a commercial with a roman helmet and spear with a lightning storm in the background stating our mission is clear, with the announcement date after, again in Roman numerals. The background music is most certainly Roman. There's a very very very good chance it is Roman themed.

Hmm. You say that as if there's absolutely NO speculation and what Carowinds is getting is a given fact. I mean, why even have a big announcement if you already know exactly all the details are?Why not just share it here so we will all know?

Well the so called track siting on 26 may have been a false alarm. Indeed it could have been a traveling carnival ride of some sort. Or a truck load of pipe for that matter. Hard to tell in the dark. But whatever the case, it shouldn't be too much longer now.
