That kind of looks like snake skin to me, but I feel like a lot of the possible snake names are already taken (cobra, anaconda, viper, serpent, diamondback, rattler, etc)

Hear me out...

The train style is unique and an attention grabber. The restraints are very comfortable and accommodating. I've been on two if the three in the us and I didn't feel a train rattle. You're still riding in the standard position so forces wouldn't be an issue. They are quite fun to watch as well as ride...even the, as the internet puts it, lame gatekeeper...

That being said, the shoulder restraints dig into the shoulder and chest, I rode Gatekeeper 4 times today and I came out with a bruised shoulder! It was a great (smooth) ride, but that was one major downside!

Strange...I've been on gatekeeper, banshee and wild eagle, all featuring the new restraints and all multiple times and I have no problems at all...

And could one of my fans find the post where I clearly...CLEARLY say this could not ever feature a wing rider train? Unfortunetly I don't hold on to every post I make like some of you do for me...makes me wonder who the king actually is...

I've never said what I think the coaster would be. I was thinking Intamin but based on the footers and the recent track being loaded onto flatbeds all evidence points to B&M.

Now... Onto what type of coaster it will be:
Coasterbruh had stated that he may think it is a giga wing. This theory I would not be against. It would be an interesting ride experience unique to Carowinds and it could only be found in this part of the world. Also since the leaked blueprints did not call for any inversions, on this wingrider could we see a new type of restraint system. Why do you need OTSR if you have no inversions? Makes no sense!

Now as everyone else is thinking B&M Giga:
This I would not be against either. It would be something not seen at carowinds and it could only be found in this region. It would add to the coaster lineup at the park.

My Conclusion:
Both type of coasters would be a great addition to the park. A giga wing rider would be something that is one of a kind and that has never been done before. Holiday World is getting a launched wing rider so could we be getting the tallest ever built, it would truly be a record breaking attraction. This wing rider would offer a different riding style and would stray away from the conventional style riding positon found often on most of the parks rollercoasters. And I could only imagine a 300 ft+ drop on a wing rider. AWESOME!

Now on to the the Giga. This coaster would be something that Carowinds has never seen but something that others in the world have already ridden something similar too.(Leviathan, I305, MF) But who is to say that it won't make an awesome addition to the park. Also I feel that some of the GP may refer to it as being just like Intimidator and I don't think Cedar Fair wants that.

I honestly now am leaning towards the B&M 300 ft Wing Rider, it would be something never seen before that would really put Carowinds on the map, but with sources and evidence leading to the B&M Giga I couldn't be happier either way!

This may sound a little out there, but what about a wing rider with Intimidator style harnesses? Just the lap restraint. All I can expect from this coaster are tall hills and highly banked and over-banked curves. So really, only a lap restraint should be needed.

Are we really back to talking about a winged coaster? I've ridden Wild Eagle and Gatekeeper, and at the bottom of the drop on Gatekeeper I can feel quite the rattle, and it's pretty forceful on the trains too. I can't imagine what a 300+ foot wing coaster drop would be like. Plus a giga wing coaster would be well over $40 million. This has already been settled.

Anyway, if the teal track is ours should we expect to see it tommorow?

Was I the only person who saw the leaked prints? Why on EARTH would carowinds build an inversion less winged B&M coaster????? The layout is virtually spot on leviathan...with some extra track work. Several trust worthy folks have said countless of times "...its a beemer". Its a safe bet that many of you would still deny that claim even when B&M track start showing up to the park! Yeah I know...we're just speculating...but geesh...feels like im on a merry-go-round now. I'd rather speculate on things like...what rides would be included in the new Rome area or if the coaster finally go under the bridge...

...then Thunderbirds happen hahahaha. the great thing about the human mind is it can change. Mines went from "it will never happen" to "well...maybe it a chance". I think its a stupid chance but giiven all factors impartially, I now can see it. Go do your happydance king hippo...

Going to definitley be watching to see if track is on site tomorrow. Also while we are on the topic of a wingrider. RCDB needs to add that to the record holders as a category as there are already 8 in the world that have been put in over the last 3 years.

I don't mean to keep stirring the pot, but what if the wing rider train had (again, I said it before), lap harnesses. Then the train itself had suspension like on a car to reduce the shake, rattle, and roll. Seems like a simple concept to me. Just add suspension to reduce the rattle and it will be fine. B&M had never done a launched wing rider and now they are working on one. This would be no different. A new train style for a wing rider. This may have been possible on Thunderbird, but I assume the launch system is costing a lot of money and some luxuries can't be included such as, you guessed it, suspension on the trains.

That's my two cents.
Remember, this is all about speculation so don't bash me on "We are not getting a wing rider"

And you're basing that off of....

The fact that Gatekeeper was only 170 feet and costed 28 million. I doubt making it 130 feet bigger will only increase the price by $2 million.

I don't think we will ever know the cost really for JUST a roller coaster. A lot of parks say "investment". That includes lots of things. Didn't they have to demolish an entire coaster and redo the front of the park? You can't just go by what a similar coaster cost and do the money to height ratio...
