General Carowinds discussion

When people hear the word 'teenager' they think of whining 13 and 14 year-olds going through puberty. And those are the worst. I should know, I go to school with them.
When I get my license, I will spend every waking moment at Carowinds. Especially with the expansion!

Lucky you, tarheel, you live in Charlotte. I'm 2 hours away. I am finally out of High school and away from younger teens. Now I get to go to college where the "adults" are. And I quote adults because not all of them act like adults.
I'm sure several of you would agree with me.
But it's all in good fun.

Now back to the Coaster please.
I am happy with the color scheme. It will make for an impressive site along I-77

Seems like it's impossible to know for sure until it's either at the park or we see renderings. If I recall correctly, Gatekeeper track didn't start showing up at cp until mid/late October. But I've gathered that Intimidator track was at the park prior to announcement day. It would make more sense to me that it could be later here since our winters aren't as harsh. Maybe it has more to do with when Clermont gets the details from B&M and how many other projects they're working on in a given year.

P.S. Transplanted Cedar Point fan here. Now in the Raleigh area and growing fond of Carowinds and this particular community. I've been keeping up with you guys as much as possible and wanted to get in on the fun

I'm also a transplanted Cedar Point fan and now live in the Raleigh area. And I love Carowinds

I was, and I think I am the only teenager to have been invited.

But if you're only a teen, how are you getting to Carowinds? Unless you live in Charlotte?

Is anyone (who is invited) taking a guest? If not, I would ask if I could be your guest. But I live here in Virginia near the N.C. Border; a good 2 hours from Carowinds. There's no chance I would get to go. Seems it's too late for this now.

EDIT: never mind, I read a previous post. You took pictures for Carowinds.

Yeah, as Rosko97 mentioned, I have my license and drive to Carowinds. I don't get to go as often as I'd like; I live around an hour 15 away.

Hope everyone knows how to use the search feature.

Well, it'll be interesting if we can beat KI Central! They had 459 pages of speculation for Banshee....and it was a lot of fun to be part off (just like here )!!!

I was thinking about that then looked at the teasers on the fb page. First, "the Rome Coliseum was one of the seven wonders of the world, will this be the eighth?"

Followed by, "we couldn't use the Charlotte coliseum, that names been used before."

And then, "Can lightning strike twice?"

Makes me think reusing a name could be in play.

Also it could be something to do with the hive which was the nickname for the Charlotte Coliseum.

Hmmm. You may be onto something. That's the connection between the Roman Colosseum and whatever the bug references are...

I doubt it will be officially themed, related to the Hornets though because that would kind of turn off visitors from other places (who might not be Hornets fans).

Or maybe not... for instance, if there was a huge park in Chicago, and when you went there, they had a huge coaster themed to the Chicago Bulls... hell everybody'd still ride it.

I hope it's something out of left field, or something NEW... they could easily just create a theme or a character or fictional beast that the ride's themed after.
