Two new pictures from just now of the new toll booths and the mounds of dirt in the grass area. Those mounds of dirt are being smoothed out for a ride it looks like. Is the coaster going to them?

I hope it is streamed live. And I will be watching the news on WBTV, WCNC, and WJZY that day, as they are the Charlotte channels my antenna receives in Greenville, SC. And WSOC only at night. But I wonder if they are sending media invites to neighboring regional markets such as Greenville/Spartanburg and Greensboro?

No idea. I want to say they tried it with Intimidator and the connection kept crashing. Hopefully they do it again with this one.

No. They are probably smoothing them out to make them moe visually appealing. They probably don't want big piles of dirt right at the entrance.

Nothing really new to report. But ... One of the Lead park workers told my brother-in-law yesterday the new coaster would be Fury or Fury 325. And it is expected to be a speed coaster with 4-row seating. And taller and longer than Intimidator. And he emphasized it would be a speed coaster, and also said a different builder than Intimidator. But he was supposedly vague on the builder part, so it could still be B&M and just a different construction company. So in reality, the Lead worker may not know much more than we do. Except for perhaps the 4-row seating.

Does it count that I got an invite and live in G-Ville?

Yea it counts. But I was thinking more about the TV news stations from the neighboring markets. We know the Charlotte channels will be there, but what about WYFF-4 and WSPA-7? And Greensboro?

Yea probably so. Certainly sounded like he was aware of the same rumors, and if he knew much more, he did not say. He only emphasized height and speed, which sounds accurate. But I find the 4-row seating noteworthy, if he was correct about that.

That information sounds fairly credible. 4-across seating is standard for B&Ms, taller than Intimidator is a given, a speed coaster is a generic term, and you are probably right on the builder. A guy out in the field may think the designer and construction company are the same. Not sure about him knowing the actual name, but I guess it could be written on the final blueprints, especially if the signage is included.
