Capler wrote:Was was the peak live stream number? I had to leave early for an appointment but at 11:10 the count was still going up. I don't think the HW announcement reached 4,000 at it's peak.

I want to say I remember seeing it up around 16,000 or so once the feed come back up.

Edwardo wrote:So, how bout all those (wrong) stats, Barbwire?

Like I said, I was throwing a couple of bones out there just for fun. I knew the stats all along. I couldn't actually give the exacts but I did give some numbers that were close. Remember me saying a tad taller than 330 ft and a bit longer than 6300ft? Everyone is still going to say 100ft taller than intimidator, it was even said today at the announcement. If anyone wants to meet me and see who I really am, you can pm me. I'll be at scarowinds on Sept 12. Couldn't reveal myself today. Lol

You said tad taller that 230. It's not.
You said vertical drop. It's not.
You said inversions and maneuvers never seen. Not true.
The only thing you said that I see that was correct was the length.

So show me where you posted correct info?

I didn't give actual stats because I couldn't and that's that!! I gave things to keep people guessing and I gave a few hints. Virtually vertical was used in the announcement today also. See where I'm going with this.?

What about trims? Anybody think this will have any? Since it has a shorter ride time than Intimidator and a lot more track, it should be moving pretty fast through the layout. Hopefully they won't kill it with trims.

I wouldn't be surprised if there is a trim installed on the first camelback, but that doesn't even come until over halfway through the ride. There's no real straight track up until that point.

This might be pretty useless for most but I found it very interesting. First let me say, not one bit of me ever doubted Cedar Fair. With that said, I now, more than ever, realize how much Cedar Fair knows what the heck they are doing.
As some may know, I work at a radio station where one of my responsibilities is keeping up with the station's facebook page. We have over 105,000 people 'like' our page.

I posted that picture with this caption: "Carowinds Amusement Park just announced their new 2015 attraction: The tallest and fastest chain-lift roller coaster IN THE WORLD! 325 feet high, 95 MPH down a near vertical 81 degree drop! You riding?"
  • In three hours, our post reached over 50,000 people.
  • Over 500 people have shared the post (not counting comments that include friend's tagged).
  • Over 800 people have liked the post.
  • Over 200 people have commented on the post.
  • Not one person mentioned it being similar to Intimidator (smart people).
  • One person said it was a Millennium Force clone (OK, maybe not too smart).
  • Most of the posts include tags of friends with something along the lines of, "OMG, Season passes next year?!!!!!1111one"
  • A lot of people mentioned getting season passes for the first time in years, if not ever!
  • Others said they will visit for the first time since the 90s.
  • A few said, "Awww hell naw!"
  • They will easily make their money back on this investment.

EDIT: Feel free to move this into the main thread if you think it belongs there. It probably does.
