I figured I'd post this as no one else has, our Giga will be as tall as:

2 Leaning Tower of Pisa's
Taller than 1 U.S. Capitol Building
Taller than the Statue of Liberty

Our little park is going to be worldwide known and I can't wait!

I'm happy for Carowinds and all but I know I won't be able to go next year. My mom isn't the biggest fan of Carowinds, and I doubt she'll be buying passes for next year. I'll be lucky if she buys one-day tickets.

Is it possible for you raise some money before March so you could buy your own pass? Cut grass, wash cars, sell some old video games?

^Even if I did, I don't know that many people wo'd be willing to take me to the park. Like I said, I'd be lucky if I got a one-day ticket to the park. I haven't been to the park this season at all, and I doubt I'll go later, and that's why I don't think I'll be able to ride Fury next year. All this waiting for the ride and it took me this long to realize I won't be able to ride it.

Could you ask for a pass for a Christmas gift?

Thankfully, there's no question about whether I can get a pass or not, but I'd do everything I could to get one if I needed to find a way. 325 feet of thrills is too much to pass up!

Do you have any friends who drive? Maybe you could cut lawns and other stuff to raise some money.

^As I stated in my post above, there is probably no one willing to take me to the park. My cousins who usually get passes decided not to get them next year, and I know my mom won't buy them. So I won't be able to go to Carowinds. I'm done saying it.

Random thought (again): I'm going to shoot some video from the walkway over the toll plaza. I've probably taken thousands of pictures of the park over the decades, but zero specifically of and from the overhead walk. But now that they will be tearing it all down, it will be a good place to commemorate what use to be. Plus, it made me recall those old day memories from '73-'75. It's sorta sentimental in that as a kid, I always thought it was cool to be able to walk above the incoming cars. I use to say "You can't do that at Six Flags". Sometimes I would stand there for a second and watch the cars but was typically more concerned about getting inside no doubt. Yep, I know. It's just a freakin toll plaza. Well, for some that's all it is, but for me it's still part of the parks unique history that made it different.

Oops. I just realized this probably wasn't the appropriate thread to put this in. Mods feel free to move it.

Public transportation? Taxi? Anything. When I was your age, I had my own computer repair business for people around the neighborhood. I would also cut lawns. How old are you? Is getting a job possible? My first job was 2 miles away and I rode my bike. Memories.

Oh yeah... 2 miles and it was snowing. Uphill. Both ways.

I'll miss it too, until I get there next year. You know, without the addition of a parking garge  to improve parking and space, I think they did a wonderful job in the animation. I just hope the real thing is at least as good as the video shows. And, it will accommodate crowds much easier.
