I think the latest would be Memorial Day, that is definitely possible, even if track installment starts at the end of October....

When was Intimidator's layout complete? Wasn't it January? I'm pretty sure the park has every intention of having this ride ready for opening day, especially since the entrance plaza is a part of it.

Looking at the still of the turnaround that was in the media kit, frankly it seems like some the footers for it couldn't really go in until after the end of the season. The main path that everyone walks alongside the grove appears to be totally gone in that picture.

( the exact title of the picture is 4.Fury 325 coming out of underground dive for those who have the kit.)

Sure this is a project of larger scale but for reference, the last piece of track of Intimidator was put in place 12/21/09 as an ‘early Christmas gift’, well ahead of schedule and well before testing in February. No need to worry.

So Carowinds has two entrances, rare for a park, I'm not aware of another with two. Now with Fury 325 Carowinds will have a coaster passing over/under each entrance. Carowinds has to be the only park with that feature. The south entrance with Afterburn was always a great first impression, now Fury 325 will do the same effect for the the north entrance. Amazing change to our home park.
If the south gate is closed with the new north gate revisions then something has to be added so that the south gate pathway is still used, the perfect place to expand the park.

It's funny how you can look at all the pictures/renderings, videos you want, but seeing it in person it is going to look so much bigger.....When I first saw intimidator in person, I was shocked because it looked so much larger than in the pics and vids I had seen.......I can only imagine what this is going to be like actually seeing it right in front of your face. But that's true for any roller coaster or large attraction really.

CP has a really exaggerated midway and the way you approach is much different than mother parks with it surrounded by water. It's always a Griswold moment when I arrive at CP.
